As fans know, Lil Nas X was picked up by cops and transported to a Los Angeles area hospital in the early morning hours of Friday, August 21 after being spotted strolling and dancing alone down Ventura Blvd.
ABC Los Angeles reported that officers suspected a drug overdose, but Lil Nas was released from the hospital within a few hours of arriving.

Lil Nas X’s Father Told TMZ Rapper Is ‘Very Sorry’ for Ventura Blvd Scene
TMZ says Lil Nas’s father, Robert Stafford, spoke on Monday, August 25 to say his son is “doing well mentally.” He began his comments by saying, “God is good. God has a plan.”
When a reporter asked if he thought the entertainer had used any drugs, Stafford replied, “absolutely not.”
Stafford said he wanted to let the “Montero” singer’s fans know that “he’s in good spirits. He’s alright. He’s very remorseful for what happened. It can happen to any family, but he’s gonna get the help that he needs.”
Stafford then asked people to “keep him in your prayers,” before pleading, “Just give him the same grace and mercy that God gives everyone.
Lil Nas X’s Dad Gave Update on Rapper’s Mental State
When asked about how Lil Nas is doing mentally, his dad replied, “He’s doing great mentally.” He went on to say his conversation with his son after Thursday’s incident was “awesome,” before revealing the two shared both laughter and tears. “He’s in great spirits. He’s gonna be great,” Stafford reassured everyone.
The gospel singer also said Lil Nas plans to “give God all the glory” as he moves on from last week’s events.
On Monday evening, the fan account @lilnasxfrench, which has over 30,000 followers, said Lil is “safe and surrounded by the support of his family and professionals.”
Lil Nas X to Enter Treatment
The same afternoon Lil Nas’s dad spoke to the cameras, the New York Post reported the star will begin attending drug rehab meetings. The report specifies he agreed to attend Narcotics Anonymous.
Lil Nas’s fans are rooting for him. One wrote on a YouTube ET news video, “Whatever silent battles he’s fighting, I hope he turns out on top.”
Another supporter declared, “God will see you through, Lil Nas. Just call on him.”
“I’m glad his family is there to support him when he’s in need,” said someone else.
In his latest TikTok video, which he posted in April, the artist looked happy while dancing to an Azealia Banks track.
