Lizzo may have lost weight; however, she still considers herself to be a big girl, or rather, one of the “big grrrls.” In fact, while sharing new photos on social media where she happens to be wearing a teeny-tiny string bikini, the singer has sent her fans a message about other lovely larger ladies.
Lizzo’s Look Included a Bikini and Blonde Brows
In a new Instagram post, Lizzo shared a few photos of herself reflected in a mirror while wearing a pinky-purple string bikini. She has also accessorized the look with a scarf on her head as well as a couple of necklaces and a bracelet. That’s not to overlook her eyebrows, which are currently blonde.
In the caption, she wrote, “Not enough big grrrls w they whole stomach out fa me 👀”
Her friends, fans and followers were quick to react, leaving plenty of comments on the star’s post.
Plus size model and content creator Alex Aspasia wrote, “Over here boo. Mine will be out all summer 😍”
“🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥my belly out all summer,” another follower added.
A third fan wrote, “I whip this belly out year round 😂”
“I always loved yo shape it’s nothing but realness 😍❤️ a beautiful design,” came from another social media user.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “Queen!! 🔥 if only we all shared the same confidence!”
Other ‘Big Grrrls’ Showing Off their Beautiful Bellies
Although Lizzo would like to see more “big grrrls” showing off their bellies, there are definitely some ladies already doing just that.
For instance, check out model Ashley Graham in a post from last July (see above). While wearing a low-slung skirt and a T-shirt that’s tucked up, her stomach can fully be seen. In the caption, she noted that her “summer cocktail” would include “naps in the grass” and “snacks on set.”
In response, one person left a comment, writing, “Goddess vibes ❤️❤️❤️”
“I love that she is unafraid to show her stretch marks she’s gotten from carrying her babies,” came from someone else.
Another person said, “You make us feel great with our bodies 🔥🔥”
If you weren’t aware, “in 2016, runway star Ashley Graham made history as the first voluptuous woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated,” according to The Curvy Fashionista. “The show-stopping beauty was featured in a purple-and-yellow bikini on the front of the publication’s celebrated swimsuit issue, which spawned a new age in the body positivity movement.”
Nowadays, you can see other notable names giving fans a look at their fabulous figures, like Hunter McGrady.
And then there’s Kenya-born influencer and digital creator Achieng Agutu. Someone you might also recognize from Sports Illustrated, she shared a post in May 2025, about her second appearance in the annual issue, writing, “This ones for my curvy GWORLSSSSS!!! To every young queen and wise woman—this is our story, and we are the authors.”
“Being in the SI Swimsuit Issue once again is a powerful celebration of every curve, every shade, every story that makes us fierce,” she continued. “Thank you, @si_swimsuit, @mj_day @sevaneveritt @hillarydrezner_siswim and the entire TEAMMMM, for [giving] us a platform to shine and for championing change. This is more than a feature; it’s a movement. 🌟”
Do you follow Lauren Chan? She’s someone else who isn’t afraid to put her beautiful bod on display.
And let’s not overlook the incredible Veronica Pome’e.
