Lizzo’s in her golden era!
The “Cuz I Love You” singer shared a jaw-dropping 12-photo Instagram carousel on April 19, full of gorgeous — and risqué — snaps.
Lizzo, 37, wore a custom-made gold mini dress with halter straps and bejeweled trim for her stunning photoshoot. At one point, the star posed on her hands and knees as she crawled toward the camera. Her dirty-blonde crimped hair was the perfect highlight to her golden garment.
The Grammy winner captioned her post with the title of Olivia Rodrigo‘s upcoming album, “You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love…,” while also setting it to the tune of Rodrigo’s single “drop dead.”
Lizzo Sizzles in Gold Mini Dress
Lizzo’s fans quickly jumped into her comments to question if she’d be featured on Rodrigo’s upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released on June 12.
“So is like Lizzo gonna have a feature 🤭 ❤️,” wrote one.
“PLEASE tell me you’re on the album omg,” added another.
And, of course, the “Special” singer’s fans made sure to celebrate her beauty with uplifting comments.
“Lizzo is just gorgeous bro 😍😍😍,” said one.
“Goddess is returning more golden than ever ❤️✨,” wrote another.
Lizzo hasn’t quite confirmed if she’ll be featured on Rodrigo’s 13-track album — but that doesn’t mean she’s not working on music behind the scenes.
Lizzo Actively Working on Evolving Her Musical Sound
In an interview with New York Magazine in September 2025, Lizzo revealed that the album she planned to drop next likely won’t make it out of the vault.
Having written most of the album’s songs in 2022, Lizzo told the outlet, “It just wasn’t what I was feeling right now. I was like, ‘I need to do [expletive] differently, and I don’t know what it is, but I’m going to just start following my instincts.’”
By shelving her album “Love in Real Life,” Lizzo has been able to focus on how to incorporate her evolved style with the sound that her fans know and love. In doing so, she released her first rap mixtape, “My Face Hurts From Smiling.”
“I’m in one of the most exciting, creative flows I’ve had as a human being on this planet,” she told New York Magazine of her June 2025 mixtape.
Lizzo’s latest song “Don’t Make Me Love U,” released in March, does, however, mimic her notable soulful-pop blend. The songstress also released a music video for the tune, where her current self met a variation of her alter ego.
The music video’s press release, reported on by People, described Lizzo’s inspiration for the video’s story, saying that the intention was to give a “surreal and visually striking look into a familiar relationship of grappling with your past self, reflecting and eventually evolving through learning and growth.”
