‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 Opening Song: How to Listen to Aizo by King Gnu on Spotify

It’s going to be hard to top “Specialz.”

The most recent opening song for “Jujutsu Kaisen” was such a big hit that fans are still making TikTok videos to the song today, even though season 2 ended in December 2023.

But the same band that brought us Specialz is bringing us the season 3 opener, Aizo. And we have the details on how you can listen to it on Spotify and Apple Music.

The song is now available on YouTube!

On December 19, King Gnu announced on Instagram that the opening theme song for “Jujutsu Kaisen,” called Aizo, will drop its digital release on Spotify and Apple Music on Friday, January 9, at 12 a.m. JST in Japan. This is 9 a.m. Central on January 8 in the U.S., just a couple of hou9rs before the first episode premieres in the United States.

King Gnu’s link to add the song from Spotify or Apple Music is here. This page lets you pre-add the song on both platforms (and should still work once the songs have dropped.) Just make sure you choose “United States” from the dropdown menu at the top to indicate which country you’re accessing the page from. (This service only works in Japan and the U.S.)

‘Specialz’ Was the Theme Song for the Shibuya Incident Arc in Season 2

King Gnu’s song “Specialz” was a mega hit among “Jujutsu Kaisen” fans.

It’s going to be hard to top the song and the stunning animation sequence that went with it. The opening song on Toho Animation’s official YouTube channel has 136 million views since it was added a little more than two years ago.

You can also watch the full four-minute long music video for Specialz, uploaded by King Gnu, on their official YouTube account above or here. This video has 177 million views and more than 44,000 comments.

“Jujutsu Kaisen” season 3 premieres on Crunchyroll at 9 a.m. Pacific on January 8 (which translates to 10 a.m. Mountain time/11 a.m. Central/12 p.m. Eastern.) It will air on Crunchyroll in the territories of North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India and Southeast Asia.

You can watch season 3 on Crunchyroll here. The first two episodes will air back-to-back, and then a new subtitled episode will air every Thursday morning thereafter. Crunchyroll has not yet revealed how many episodes will be in season 3.
