Walter White’s house in “Breaking Bad” hit the market about a year ago for a whopping $4 million.
The famous home in Albuquerque, NM, has attracted countless visitors since it was featured on the hit AMC series. And that’s exactly why the house went up for sale. The homeowner spoke to Inside Edition nearly a year ago and revealed that the constant flow of visitors frustrated her to the point that she felt she had no choice but to list the house.
The homeowner told the outlet that the home averaged about 300 visitors a day. She resorted to calling the police on many occasions. She said she even started deterring visitors with a water hose, this after adding a steel fence surrounding her property.
Nothing worked, and so the house hit the market. TMZ is now reporting that the homeowner, however, got some bad advice from a real estate agent last year, informing her the house could fetch $4 million because a “Breaking Bad” fan could snatch it up and possibly turn it into a museum.
She took the realtor’s advice, TMZ reports, but the house sat stale for nearly a year.
Walter White’s House Gets Significant Price Reduction
TMZ is now reporting that the mega real estate agency Keller Williams has the listing, and there has been a whopping 90 percent price reduction on the house: from $4 million to the current market value of $400,000.
The listing reportedly went stale for myriad reasons, including that the house is in a residential neighborhood, and zoning laws would not allow for anyone to turn the famous house into a museum.
“Breaking Bad” aired for five seasons from 2008 to 2013, starring Bryan Cranston (Walter White), Aaron Paul (Jason Pinkman), Anna Gunn (Skylar White), Dean Norris (Hank Schrader), and, of course, Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman), whose recurring role in season 2 landed him starring roles the following seasons, which ultimately led to the popular spinoff, “Better Call Saul.”
“Breaking Bad” became a smashing hit and is considered one of the best TV shows of all time. Its cult-like following is a big reason the New Mexico home gets countless visitors.

The single-family residence was built in 1972.
Walter White or his shenanigans are not included.

I visited the house around 11am on a weekday in 2015. I met the owner and his wife who were standing on the driveway. They asked me to sign a visitors book. We spoke for about twenty minutes. They were very gracious. Told me that all visitors had been polite. No one ever knocked on their door. Around 300 visitors a day. Typically a lull between 11 am and 2 pm. There had been a few who tossed pizzas on the roof. While there a couple from Australia approached. They came to Albuquerque for the same reason that I did. I also visited all filming locations. Ate at Twisters which was the Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant, got my car washed at the car wash, saw the crack hotel – desk clerk wanted $5 to allow me to take pictures. Visited both of Jessie’s houses and the duplex where his girlfriend died. Bought a bunch of Los Pollos Hermanos T- shirts. Highly recommend.
