Cole Hauser Confirms ‘Dutton Ranch’—AKA ‘Yellowstone’ Season 6—With Perfect 3-Word Response

The “Yellowstone” universe is continuing to grow, and Cole Hauser just confirmed a major update about the next chapter. The actor revealed the official title of the highly anticipated spinoff series in a short message about the latest Taylor Sheridan spinoff, which quickly caught fans’ attention.

On March 13, 2026, Hauser shared a poster on Instagram announcing the upcoming series “Dutton Ranch.”

The image featured a branding iron marked with the letters “DR” heating over flames, with the words “DUTTON RANCH” written below and the phrase “coming soon.”

Hauser captioned the reveal with a simple three-word message: “Here…we…go.”

The post confirmed months of speculation about the series’ title and marked the first official announcement for the project.

Cole Hauser Confirms ‘Dutton Ranch’ Title With Instagram Reveal

Hauser’s post arrived without warning and quickly circulated among fans online.

The branding-style poster showed a glowing iron forming the initials “DR,” reinforcing the connection to the Dutton family and their Montana ranch.

The announcement followed earlier rumors about the title circulating online. Photos of the poster had leaked earlier in the day, but Hauser’s Instagram post made the reveal official.

The confirmation surprised some fans because Hauser had previously dismissed the title.

In May 2025, Hauser claimed that the spinoff would not be called “Dutton Ranch.”

The title first surfaced quietly in a CBS teaser that aired during the Golden Globes in January. At the time, Hauser pushed back on the report.

“Well, first of all, it’s not ‘Dutton Ranch.’ That’s not the name of it,” he told Fox News in May.

Now, his latest post ultimately confirmed the title.

‘Dutton Ranch’ May Feel Like ‘Yellowstone Season 6’

While the series will serve as a spinoff, early comments from the creative team suggest it could feel like a continuation of the original story.

Director Greg Yaitanes discussed the project during an interview with Collider and explained that the show shares the same tone and creative approach as the original series.

Yaitanes said some members of the production team felt like they were essentially continuing the story of “Yellowstone.”

“A lot of the people involved with Dutton Ranch really felt like they were making Yellowstone Season 6,” Yaitanes told the outlet.

He also addressed the possibility of characters from other parts of the “Yellowstone” universe appearing in the new series.

“That’s a really good question,” Yaitanes said. “We talked about that a lot because each wanted to be on the other show.”

Yaitanes explained that one character in particular could naturally connect to the storyline.

“I feel like Kayce should go to Dutton Ranch,” he said. “That feels like something that I would lose my sh*t over as a fan.”

The director noted that another upcoming spinoff will explore a different tone within the franchise.

“Kayce would just naturally fold into Dutton Ranch because there’s a tonal similarity to the original Yellowstone,” Yaitanes said. “Marshals is much more genre and guns-forward and those kinds of cool things.”
