TikTok star Jake Kind’s grandmother Mimmy has passed away.
Kind, who is known to fans as Goobi Gubbi, shared a pre-recorded video with his grandmother on TikTok, where she announced the news of her own death.
“If you are watching this, it means I’m dead,” Mimmy said. “I had the most fabulous life.
“I traveled the world with [my late husband] Arnie, went all over. We had phenomenal people that we did everything with.”
Kind has more than 650,000 followers on TikTok, having started posting with Mimmy in 2022.
Tributes Pour In For Mimmy
While comments were disabled on Kind’s initial post on TikTok, Entertainment Tonight shared a post announcing the news, and many fans left comments underneath, showing support to Kind and celebrating Mimmy’s life.
“God bless this wonderful woman. we all mourn you!,” one fan wrote.
“I loved their relationship! Rest in peace Mimmy!,” another fan commented.
“My favorite family on the internet. We’ll miss seeing Mimi on social media,” one fan said.
“Aww ! we will miss you Mimi My heart breaks for them she was so beautiful, inside and out! and always made us viewers laugh ❤️,” a fan wrote.
“Omg no way 😢 RIP this lady has brought so much joy to the internet what a fabulous lady ❤️,” another fan said.

Jake Kind’s Mother Revealed His Grandmother Had Been Diagnosed With Cancer in March 2025 Interview
When speaking with 6abc Action News in March, Kind and his mother, Andrea, revealed that his grandmother had been diagnosed with several types of cancer.
“She’s got 10 — like, legitimately 10 — primary cancers, congestive heart failure, and lung disease and still is going strong,” she said.
And with that, she is also thankful for all the videos they had made together.
“These are memories I’m gonna look back at and will probably cry sometimes but laugh a lot,” she said. “It’s like a little living scrapbook, if you will. We can just look back and see what happened three years ago, and it’s just so funny.”
He also provided an update just two days before Mimmy’s death, telling his followers that she was “in end stages.”
“The situation that she’s in health-wise, or lack thereof, I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy,” he added.
