Joan Collins is a legendary actress thanks to roles in films such as “Land of the Pharaohs,” “The Bravados,” and “Empire of the Ants.” Recently, one of her sons, Alexander “Sacha” Newley, tied the knot with singer-songwriter Sheela Raman, and she walked him down the aisle in the lavish wedding.
The wedding took place in Salzburg, Austria, on September 27. Collins’ son and now daughter-in-law took to Instagram the following day to share highlights of the lakeside wedding. Naturally, it features the legendary actress walking Newley down the aisle.
They said in the caption of the video, “What a gift to stand side-by-side, surrounded by our beloved friends and family, as we step into this new chapter together. Our wedding day was more than a celebration, it was a reflection of the creative life we’re building together, full of music, laughter, and love, and our little girl, who makes every day more glorious as she blossoms.”
The post continued, “We’re so grateful to our family and friends who traveled from near and far, held us in joy, and communed with us on this sacred day. It will live with us always.”
In addition to Collins walking her down the aisle, the video includes footage of the bride in her beautiful wedding dress, the two of them standing on a pier in front of the blue-colored water, and numerous family and friends.

Collins remains quite busy these days. However, she has a strong online presence, often sharing content on social media. She reacted to the sweet video of her son getting married by leaving a comment. She wrote, “It was a magical three days.” Collins also included the red heart emoji.
Her daughter-in-law now responded, saying, “It was wonderful to celebrate with you.” It’s worth noting that the couple became engaged in 2019. They were initially going to get married in the South of France, but they had to postpone the ceremony due to the 2020 pandemic restrictions.

Collins is just as revered as an actress as ever. According to Town & Country Magazine, she will play Willis Simpson in the upcoming biopic “The Bitter End.” The new film doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s expected to arrive in 2026. She will also star in the upcoming “A Murder Between Friends.”
Additionally, according to IMDb, she has another upcoming film, “Unforgettable,” in pre-production.
