Miley Cyrus has earned one of Hollywood’s most prestigious honors, cementing her place among the entertainment industry’s biggest stars.
The former “The Voice” coach will finally receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 20 years after she made her television debut as the star of Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana.” The honor marks a full-circle moment for Cyrus, whose career has evolved far beyond her early days as a teen television sensation into one of pop culture’s most recognizable names.
When Will Miley Cyrus Receive Her Hollywood Star?
Billboard Magazine reported that Miley Cyrus’s ceremony in her honor takes place on May 22. She will receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the recording category.
Actress Anya Taylor-Joy and fashion designer Donatella Versace will honor Cyrus. Both women will speak at the event, and radio personality Ellen K will emcee.
Cyrus’s star is the Walk of Fame’s 2,845th celebrity honoree. Subsequently, Cyrus’s plaque will be located at 7011 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, California.
In a statement, Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez told Billboard, “Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Generations of young girls have grown up watching her evolve, finding inspiration in her journey and fearless creativity.”
Miley Cyrus First Teased News of Her Star in July 2025
In July 2025, Cyrus celebrated the news of her star on Instagram.
She posted, “Honored to be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late-night walks with my dad when no one would recognize him.”
She continued, “We’d have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock-off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merchandise. To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream. This moment will live forever, thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible. I am grateful to share this star with you.”
Other honorees along with Cyrus in the Class of 2026 include Josh Groban, Gordon Ramsey, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Emily Blunt. Additionally, Demi Moore, Stanley Tucci, Shaquille O’Neal, and Timothée Chalamet are also be recognized.
What Is the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
GettyAccording to the Hollywood Walk of Fame website, the idea for a place where the industry’s biggest stars could be commemorated permanently was created by E. M. Stuart. He served in 1953 as the volunteer president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Stuart proposed the idea of the walk to “maintain the glory of a community whose name means glamour and excitement in the four corners of the world.” By 1958, his idea became a reality.
On August 15, 1958, the first eight honorees were unveiled. They included Olive Borden, Ronald Colman, Louise Fazenda, Preston Foster, Burt Lancaster, Edward Sedgwick, Ernest Torrence, and Joanne Woodward.
