BREAKING UPDATE: New Evidence Seized as Search for Nancy Guthrie Intensifies

The search for missing Nancy Guthrie dramatically escalated Friday night as investigators seized a vehicle and removed a previously undiscovered camera from the roof of her Tucson, Arizona, home — just hours after a new message was allegedly sent by those claiming to be responsible for her disappearance, according to reports.

Forensic FBI teams were seen combing the property in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood, focusing their attention on the roof of the home, where a mounted camera was reportedly located and removed, according to the Daily Mail

Camera Was Recovered: Report

The device had not been recovered during earlier searches, raising new questions about what it may have captured in the hours before Guthrie vanished.

At the same time, a dark-colored SUV was towed from the garage of the residence, marking a significant development in the case.

Friday’s operation represented the third time investigators returned to the home since Guthrie was reported missing on Sunday, signaling an intensification of efforts as authorities pursue multiple leads.

More than a dozen law enforcement vehicles descended on the property throughout the day, including FBI agents, forensic specialists, and sheriff’s deputies.

While officials have not publicly explained the reasoning behind the latest seizure, the timing coincided with the emergence of a second alleged ransom message.

Camera Discovery and Vehicle Seizure Raise New Questions

According to reports, forensic teams discovered the roof-mounted camera during a renewed sweep of the property, suggesting investigators are re-examining every possible source of evidence connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.

The removal of the camera has fueled speculation that it may hold critical information related to the timeline surrounding her last known movements.

While speaking with CNN, a neighbor mentioned that she told investigators to check Nancy Guthrie’s roof as she noticed that it appeared to be recently redone.

The towing of the SUV from the garage further underscores the seriousness of the investigation.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the vehicle belongs to Guthrie or whether it is directly linked to the case, but its removal indicates it is now considered potential evidence.

Officials have remained tight-lipped about what, if anything, was recovered during the search.

New Ransom Message Emerges as Investigation Deepens

The renewed law enforcement activity came just hours after an additional message claiming to be from Guthrie’s purported abductors was reportedly sent to Tucson news outlet KOLD.

The station had previously received an alleged ransom letter earlier in the week, as had TMZ.

Authorities have said they are treating the messages as “serious leads,” though they have not verified their authenticity or confirmed that the communications are connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing after she failed to appear at her regular church service, prompting concern from family members.

Investigators later confirmed that blood found at her home belonged to her, and officials have warned that her health is fragile and that she relies on daily medication.

As federal and local agencies continue to analyze newly seized evidence, the case remains active and evolving, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward as the search intensifies.
