The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed they are aware of a new message connected to the case and are actively evaluating its authenticity.

It remains unclear what type of message it is or whether it is connected to the previously reported ransom notes.

Investigators Return to Nancy Guthrie’s Home

Brian Entin added that the second note was sent to KOLD-TV in Tucson.
While the FBI and the sheriff’s department investigate the second note from Nancy’s alleged abductors, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared that investigators are conducting follow-up work at the Guthrie home and in the surrounding area.
The roadway in front of the residence has been restricted to allow investigators space to carry out their work.
Officials said Camino Escalante is currently restricted from Cerrada Nopal to East Camino El Ganado.
Investigators Share Limited Updates as Search Remains Active

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that blood found on the porch outside Nancy’s home tested positive for her DNA. He said, however, that investigators have not identified a suspect or person of interest.
The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to Nancy’s recovery or the arrest of anyone involved in her disappearance.
Nanos said additional press conferences will be held only if there are significant developments to report.
“It’s pretty pointless to just keep hounding the same things over and over,” he said.
When asked directly about suspects, Nanos added, “We’re not there yet.”
Savannah Guthrie Honored During Opening Ceremony Absence
