New Report Details Possible Location Clues in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance

As the search for “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, entered its sixth day, investigators continued pressing forward, following every possible lead in hopes of bringing her home.

A new TMZ report is shedding light on a potential development in the case. Authorities are closely reviewing an alleged ransom letter tied to Nancy’s disappearance that could offer clues about where she may be held.

Alleged Ransom Letter May Narrow Search Radius Around Tucson

According to TMZ, if the letter is confirmed to be legitimate, details within it suggest Nancy may not have been taken far from the Arizona home where she was abducted.

The message reportedly demands millions of dollars in bitcoin for her safe return and includes a specific timeframe for her return to Tucson after payment.

Based on that timing, law enforcement sources believe Nancy would likely be transported by car rather than by plane.

The report states that Air travel would require a Real ID and could quickly alert authorities. Investigators are now factoring in the projected travel window and typical driving speeds, which could help narrow a possible search radius around Tucson as the investigation continues.

FBI Reviews Note as Investigation Continues

NBC News has reviewed a copy of what authorities have described as a possible ransom note that was sent to three media organizations referencing Guthrie. Officials said the contents align with descriptions previously shared by the FBI and the outlets that received it.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to Nancy’s recovery or the arrest of anyone connected to her disappearance.

Investigators have not publicly confirmed the letter’s authenticity, but authorities have acknowledged that it remains an active part of the ongoing investigation.

Family’s Emotional Plea as Search Intensifies

As the investigation continues, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings, Annie and Camron, are speaking directly to their mother and to whoever may be responsible for her disappearance.

In a video shared on social media Wednesday night, the family issued an emotional plea, emphasizing both their resolve and their hope.

“We will not rest,” Savannah said. “Your children will not rest until we are together again.”

The siblings also acknowledged reports of a possible ransom letter, urging anyone with information to make contact and appealing simply, “Please reach out to us.”

Sheriff Says No Suspect Identified Yet

In his latest comments, Chris Nanos said investigators have not yet identified a suspect or person of interest in the case.

“We’re not there yet,” Nanos told reporters.

He added that additional press briefings will only be scheduled if there are meaningful developments or new evidence to share.

“It’s pretty pointless to just keep hounding the same things over and over,” he said.

The search for Nancy remains active, with authorities continuing to track down every lead while her family holds onto hope for her safe return.

As of the most recent update, officials have not confirmed her whereabouts, though all new information is being closely reviewed as part of the ongoing effort to find her.
