Actor Found Unresponsive After Wellness Check
Greene was found dead on Friday after a neighbor called for a wellness check. According to The New York Post, the neighbor reported hearing nonstop Christmas music coming from Greene’s home.
When a locksmith opened the door, Greene was found unresponsive on the floor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The “Blue Streak” actor’s neighbor later alleged that Greene’s body was found facedown and surrounded by blood, according to the New York Daily News. Investigators said no foul play is suspected, though an autopsy report is pending.
Manager Recalls Final Conversation Before Death
Greene’s manager and close friend, Gregg Edwards, said he spoke with the actor on Wednesday, just two days before Greene was found dead.
“It was just a totally normal conversation,” Edwards told The Post.
GettyEdwards shared that Greene mentioned feeling some nerves ahead of a scheduled surgery to remove a benign tumor near his lung.
The procedure was set for Friday, the same day Greene was discovered.
“He was a little nervous about the operation going in, but he said it wasn’t super serious,” Edwards said. “He sounded okay. It was just a totally normal conversation.”
Greene is survived by his 16-year-old son, Ryder.
