When The Walking Dead Season 7 finale ended, fans were left with a few questions that we hope are answered soon. Here’s what’s bugging fans about Season 7, along with some top theories and predictions about what we can expect in Season 8. Who Made the Carved Soldier that Daryl Found?
At the very end of the finale, Daryl found a small figurine on the ground. It was carved to look like a soldier and on the back someone wrote in black: “Didn’t Know.” Who left the statue?
Many fans believe that the statue was left behind by Dwight. Back in Season 6, when Daryl first met Dwight, he was carving small statutes. Dwight was also shown working on figurines in the Sanctuary too. This may have been Dwight’s way of trying to let Daryl know that he didn’t know the Junkyard group was going to turn on them. But will Daryl believe him?
Where Was Gregory Going?

At one point during Season 7 Episode 15 of The Walking Dead, Gregory tells another Hilltop member that he needs to be taken somewhere. Then he tells him that he should pack a bag. Where is Gregory going? We don’t find out in the Season 7 finale, so this one is still a mystery.
Gregory never said exactly where he wanted to go, but fans are guessing based on previous episodes. In Episode 14, Gregory had a conversation with Simon when the Saviors arrived to pick up Dr. Carson, and Daryl and Maggie had to hide. Gregory spoke to Simon outside and told him: “I’ve got to hang on to my people’s trust.” He said he couldn’t let anyone else take over. “They might have crazy ideas… I know human nature, and it isn’t inconceivable.”
Simon said that if Gregory was having problems like that, Gregory should come to see him anytime. “I’ll arrange it so you just tell the guard who you are, and he’ll let you right in.” And then he gave Gregory a piece of paper, which likely had a map on it. So, the top theory right now is that Gregory was heading over to the Saviors’ compound. But he never made an appearance during the big battle in the finale, so this theory might be wrong. We found out that the Junkyard Group was the one that betrayed Rick, not Gregory, so Gregory’s plan is still unknown.
Will Carol End Up with Ezekiel or Daryl?
This one might seem a little silly to some fans, but other fans are firmly on either the Carol and Ezekiel Ship, or the Caryl Ship. Carol seemed to be developing a fondness for Ezekiel in Season 7. But a lot of Season 8 promo photos have shown Carol and Daryl spending a lot of time together. Do you think she will end up with either character? Or will she stay alone?
Will Shiva Survive?

Honestly, I’m most worried about this one. I mean, I should also be worried about Dwight and Eugene, since they are in the heart of the lion’s den. But one shot from the trailer made it look like Shiva might be surrounded by zombies. I couldn’t bear to see anything happen to Shiva.
