The first names set to walk in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show are here, and it’s a mix of icons and rising stars. The brand announced on Instagram that Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge, Anok Yai, Alex Consani and Yumi Nu will be among the Angels hitting the runway this fall. The show airs October 15 and marks only the second since Victoria’s Secret revived its fashion spectacle last year after a five-year break, according to People.
In a teaser Reel, the six models were shown in black lingerie and angel wings alongside the caption: “The first six angels hitting the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2025 runway are…” Fans quickly filled the comments with excitement, with one writing, “PLEASE bring back the old VS runaways with tons of glitter, bouncy hair and flawless makeup!!!” Another added, “ICONS!!!” while listing off more familiar names they hope will join.
The Runway’s Past Meets Its Future
Reportedly, this year’s lineup reflects the brand’s balance of tradition and evolution. Lima, who first walked for Victoria’s Secret in 1999 and retired in 2018, returned in 2024 and will once again bring her veteran presence to the catwalk. Smalls, who walked consistently between 2011 and 2016, is also back after appearing in last year’s revival. Aldridge, another longtime Angel, returns after skipping the 2024 show.
At the same time, Victoria’s Secret is spotlighting newer faces. Yai and Consani both made their debut last year, with Consani breaking ground as the first trans model to walk in the show. Nu will be making her first appearance this year after auditioning in 2024. Known as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star, her casting adds another layer to the brand’s push for inclusivity.
According to Elle, the 2025 event will continue under the direction of Adam Selman, who was appointed as senior vice president and executive creative director earlier this year. Selman, a former Savage X Fenty designer, has experience blending high-fashion design with diversity, and his arrival marks a new chapter for the brand.
Carrying the Comeback Into 2025
Anticipation for this year’s show is fueled by the success of last year’s revival at Brooklyn’s Navy Yard. The 2024 event featured high-profile returns from Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio, alongside performances from Cher, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, and Tyla per earlier reporting.
That show marked a clear shift in tone, moving away from the exclusivity of past years toward a broader celebration of different body types and a female-led vision. Tyra Banks’ return after 19 years became one of the night’s defining moments, with the supermodel calling it an “out-of-body” experience and a sign of the brand’s evolving representation.
With the 2025 lineup beginning to take shape, fans are already speculating about which models will be added. The mix of returning Angels and new talent signals a runway that honors the show’s legacy while continuing to evolve.
