Production on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 17 has now wrapped, and fans expect the show to premiere in 2026. One returning cast member is Porsha Williams. Now, following BravoCon 2025, the Bravo star has debuted her new girlfriend.
Williams took to Instagram on November 28 to wish her girlfriend, Patrice “Sway” McKinney, a happy birthday. The RHOA star said in the caption, “🎉Happiest Birthday @sway_thepro Hope this year continues to bring you everything you want and more! 🥂🍾 Can’t wait to act up Saturday!”
The post consists of six images and videos. The first features Williams and McKinney posing in a loving fashion in front of a Christmas tree. Next, there’s a video of the two of them with friends in what appears to be a nightclub.
From there, there’s footage of other aspects of their lives. The final photo in the collection finds McKinney kissing Williams on the cheek. The post includes several celebratory comments. Among them is Pinky Cole, who is expected to join “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for season 17.
RHOA favorite Cynthia Bailey also left a positive comment, saying simply, “🎉🎉🎉.”
Porsha Williams Previously Opened Up About Dating a Woman
Williams recently went through a dramatic life change, and she and Simon Guobadia finalized their divorce in June 2025. This comes after she filed in February 2024, and the two married in 2022. In October 2025, she appeared at CultureCon in Brooklyn and revealed she was dating a man and a woman.
Williams said, “So the people I am talking to now — it’s just two — I’ve narrowed it down to two. And he is nice, and she is nice. But I really just wanted to make sure these were normal people.”
She went on to compare her new situation to her old one. Williams said, “And what I talked about with my therapist the other day was, I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists. And guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything. They’re perfect. They mirror you.”
She Also Opened Up About Her Girlfriend at BravoCon 2025
Williams was among the many current and former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars who attended BravoCon 2025. While at the convention, she spoke openly about the new love in her life. While on a panel, she said, “Phaedra met her first. Cynthia was there and Angela.”
Phaedra Parks then joked, “She believes in diversity.” Additionally, Williams discussed season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” while at BravoCon, calling it a sisterhood and saying that they cast dealt with real issues this year.
