“Love Is Blind” cast member Kacie McIntosh took to Instagram on Saturday to respond to messages she received since the show aired, even asking fans of the Netflix reality show to “please stop with the death threats.”
Kacie’s Journey on ‘Love Is Blind’
Kacie appeared on “Love Is Blind” season 9, a season that cast out of the Denver area. Kacie’s strongest connection was with Patrick Suzuki. Patrick seemed to connect more strongly with Anna Yuan, but when she abruptly left the experiment without any notification, Patrick turned his attention to Kacie.
Patrick eventually confided in Kacie by admitting one of his insecurities: his race. Kacie assured the construction manager that she didn’t care what he looked like. However, her tune seemed to change after she and Patrick actually met face-to-face.
After the pod portion of the experiment, the engaged couples were set to travel to Mexico before eventually returning home to Colorado. However, Kacie and Patrick didn’t make it that far.
While at the hotel, Kacie asked for a meeting with Patrick, something that is typically not allowed on “Love Is Blind.” During the assembly, Kacie frequently touched and kissed Patrick’s face while explaining to him that she didn’t want to go to Mexico; she wanted to go home.
Patrick was gracious and understanding with Kacie, especially after she assured him her decision had nothing to do with his physical appearance. However, audience members got a different explanation from the hair and makeup artist.
45 minutes before her meeting with Patrick, Kacie told the producers and cameras the reason she didn’t want to go to Mexico with Patrick: “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is going to grow that much,” she said on the show.
Kacie’s Response to the Backlash

In an interview with Tudum, Kacie insisted that despite how it sounded, she didn’t leave “Love Is Blind” due to Patrick’s physical looks. “He’s a handsome guy,” she told Tudum. “It was more about him being a stranger in my arms than it was what he looks like.”
Now, Kacie posted on her Instagram story to clarify even further. On top of a photo of her and some friends, she wrote, “I understand I have made mistakes during my time on LIB. However, there is far more to the heavily edited story than what is being aired, and I hope I can share my side soon.”
She then urged those reading to leave her family and friends alone, as they didn’t agree to become public figures the way Kacie did whens she signed up for the show.
At the end of the post, Kacie admitted something scary: she’s received death threats since the show aired. She asked people to stop, then jokingly added that her cat “needs a mom.”
Patrick also made an Instagram post, according to Us Weekly, in which he asked fans “to take it easy on Anna and Kacie, and all cast members. I don’t condone hate in any capacity.”
