“The Bold and the Beautiful” recently welcomed Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson)back, and right off the bat, viewers noticed something’s off with him.
When Thomas left for Paris, he insisted he was in a better headspace. And for a while, life did seem to improve, thanks in no small part to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White).
But upon his return, Thomas appeared to be back to his old self, and Ridge quickly took notice.

Thomas told Ridge he has no one in his life right now, and he’s feeling alone. He and Paris called off their engagement, while Douglas is always with his friends.
Thomas claimed that Ridge and Taylor finally getting married is what he really needs. If his dad screws this up, he’s not sure he’ll be able to handle it.

It’s only a matter of time before Ridge chooses Brooke over his family again. And when he does, Thomas is bound to spiral, this time plunging even deeper into the dark side.
