Jack And Kyle Search For Diane
The episode begins at the Abbott mansion, where Kyle is becoming increasingly concerned after being unable to locate Diane. He tells Jack that Diane has not been seen at work or at the club for several days.
While Jack initially tries to explain away her absence, Kyle points out that Diane even missed a meeting she set up with a designer from France, which is very out of character for her.
Realizing that something may be wrong, Jack agrees that they need answers. Their search eventually leads them to Patty, who quickly becomes a person of interest due to her ongoing fixation on Jack and her hostility toward Diane.
Patty Faces Questions About Diane’s Disappearance
At Crimson Lights, Patty arrives hoping to find Matt, but instead finds herself face-to-face with Phyllis. The chaotic duo immediately begins sparring over Matt. Both women accuse the other of using him. Before long, Patty insists that whatever happens to Matt will be on Phyllis.
Before the confrontation can go much further, Jack and Kyle arrive demanding answers about Diane. They pull Patty aside and question her about Diane’s whereabouts.
Although Patty denies any direct involvement, she suggests that Diane’s absence could allow Jack to remember his feelings for her.
Kyle quickly pushes back, accusing Patty of wanting Diane out of the picture. Patty continues to insist that Diane may have left on her own and suggests she could be gone permanently.
Nick Demands To See Matt
At the Newman ranch, Nick reunites with his family following his rescue. While everyone is relieved that he survived, Nick remains focused on one question: why did Matt save him?
Victor reveals that Matt is being held at a secure location on the property. As Nick learns more about the events surrounding his rescue, he struggles to understand why Matt would help save his life after everything that happened.
The family debates whether Matt should be punished for his past crimes if he truly has no memory of committing them. While Sharon and Noah remain focused on the pain Matt caused, Nick insists that he needs to confront him personally before any final decisions are made.
Victor eventually agrees to allow the meeting, provided that Nick follows through with entering rehab.
Phyllis Defends Matt’s Actions
Later, Phyllis arrives at the ranch to check on Nick. While Nikki thanks her for helping save him, Victoria remains frustrated that Phyllis did not come forward sooner.
Phyllis acknowledges Matt’s role in Nick’s rescue and argues that the man she has come to know does not seem capable of the crimes everyone describes. However, Nikki reminds her that the Newman family has endured significant pain because of the situation.
The conversation takes another turn when Phyllis admits she made a deal with Nick, prompting Nikki to question exactly what that agreement involved.
Nick And Matt Have An Emotional Conversation
Nick eventually meets with Matt, who is being held inside the ranch gym.
Matt admits that he cannot explain why he saved Nick and still has only fragmented memories of his past. While he understands why everyone despises him, he insists he does not view one good deed as redemption.
Instead, Matt says that helping save Nick may simply be the first step toward becoming a better person. Nick listens carefully as he tries to determine whether Matt’s remorse is genuine.
Victor And Adam Discuss Matt’s Future
Elsewhere, Victor and Adam reflect on everything that has happened. Victor admits that when he believed Nick was dead, he would have sacrificed everything to bring his son back.
The father and son also discuss whether Matt and Phyllis acted out of genuine concern or for more complicated reasons. While questions remain about Matt’s future, Victor acknowledges that the situation is far from simple.
Patty Makes A Troubling Prediction
In the episode’s final moments, Patty continues to insist that Diane has abandoned both Jack and Kyle. She argues that if people believe she cannot change, then they should accept that Diane cannot change either.
Meanwhile, Adam warns Victor that a decision regarding Matt will need to be made soon. He worries that if Nick becomes too involved in determining Matt’s fate, the family could risk losing him all over again.
By the end of Friday’s episode, Diane remains missing, Patty continues to raise suspicions, and questions surrounding Matt’s future remain unresolved. With Nikki’s health concerns resurfacing and Victor facing difficult decisions, Genoa City appears headed into another dramatic week ahead.
