Chris Harrison, the former host of “The Bachelor” and its many spinoffs, will be back on our television screens, hosting a brand-new dating reality TV series. According to Deadline, the new series has found a home at streaming service Fox Nation and is set to air sometime in 2027.
While still untitled, the new dating series will follow a group of singles who are serious about finding a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values” and “dating with real intention.” Think the romantic journey of “The Bachelor” combined with the high-stakes commitment of “Love is Blind.”
Chris Harrison Is Back For a New Dating Series on Fox Nation
GettyChris Harrison knows a thing or two about finding love, having hosted “The Bachelor” and its spinoffs from 2002-2021. A new report from Deadline reveals he will host an upcoming, as-of-yet untitled dating series that will air on Fox Nation.
The new series will follow a group of women searching for a lasting romance with men who share their core values and long-term vision for the future, with marriage as the ultimate goal. The show will be designed for those “dating with real intention” and will blend “romance, real-world compatibility tests and emotionally charged eliminations.”
The show will also be backed by several people who have worked behind the scenes of “The Bachelor,” including television producers Elan Gale and Louis Caric, both of whom have worked on the ABC series for 10 years. Leading casting will be Lindsay Liles, a prominent casting director and producer who also worked on “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette,” and “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Directing the new reality series is Michael Shea, who worked on 100 episodes of “Bachelor in Paradise” and the HBO Max series “FBoy Island.”
Harrison and his wife, Lauren Zima, will be executive producers on the latest project.
Harrison’s Life After ‘The Bachelor’
Harrison stepped down from his hosting duties on “The Bachelor” franchise in 2021 after facing widespread criticism for defending former contestant Rachael Kirkconnell over past behavior that was deemed racially insensitive. Harrison was replaced by former Bachelor lead Jesse Palmer, who continues to host the show and its spinoffs.
In October 2025, Harrison spoke publicly about exiting the series, telling People that leaving was something he truly needed after nearly 20 seasons as host.
“It feels wonderful, and thanks for asking that, because I wasn’t sure it would,” he began.
“You know, when you do something every single day for two decades, and it’s so popular around the world, there is a pressure to that, and there’s a spotlight and a microscope that you don’t even realize you’re under until you kinda get off that merry-go-round,” he added.
Harrison told the outlet that stepping down allowed him to focus on other parts of his life, including marrying his wife in 2023.
“And it was this kind of angst when I first got off, because I mean, ‘Oh, well, I gotta get back on. I gotta go back to work,’ or… And then I kind of took a deep breath and you dropped your shoulders, and I think, you know, obviously falling in love definitely helped, moving to Austin definitely helped kind of relieve that and realize, ‘Wow, there’s a whole other world out here to dive into.’ And so it has been a wonderful break and relief,” Harrison said.
