Fans Pour in Support for Bachelor Favorite After a Candid Confession on Instagram

Whether viewers like it or not, most contestants of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” go on to have a big following on social media. And whether that means that they give up their full-time jobs to become content creators or not, having an online following can come with pros and cons.

For Sarah Herron, who competed in season 17 of “The Bachelor” as well as seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” the social media attention has created some pressure.

Sarah Herron Gets Real About Feeling ‘Inadequate’ on Instagram

Through a gallery on Instagram, Herron, who welcomed her twin baby girls with her husband Dylan Brown in July 2024, admitted to not feeling “interesting” enough on the app.

“Since the dawn of Instagram, people have been feeling inadequate when they open this app,” she wrote in the caption. “Yet, here. we. are.”

“I don’t think we have to try to solve it, but just be water of it,” she continued. “Whether you’re new to my page, or are one of the OGs, I’m grateful we can find interest in the mundane together. 🫶🏻 thank you for coming along!”

In the gallery, Herron continued her candid confession, this time showing pictures of her and her growing family over the years.

“I’m a 39 year old mom of IVF twins and for the last 2 years I have been pouring all of my energy into raising them,” she wrote. “It’s been the greatest joy of my life.”

“I’m also trying to navigate doing all of this with a disability, which I rarely talk about,” she continued.

“But look, all of that leaves little time for content creation these days,” she admitted. “So what you get when you come to my page, are in-the-moment snippets from my everyday life. Which I think are pretty amazing!! But the algorithm makes me think I’m not doing enough. Not mom-ing enough. Not capturing enough. Not sharing enough.”

Currently, Herron has 375k followers on the platform, but it seems the Instagram algorithm hasn’t been on her side.

In the second-to-last picture, she added a childhood picture of herself. “But you’re telling me we’re going to let this little girl believe she isn’t enough?” she asked. “Wrong.”

She ended the post by welcoming the followers she does have. “So if you periodically enjoy seeing a 39-year-old mom’s non expert POV on reality TV, raising toddlers, adventure and motherhood, then you’ve found the right corner on the internet,” she wrote.

“Welcome,” she concluded. “It’s a little slow around here, but always interesting.”

Followers Are Pouring in Support for Sarah Herron in the Comments

Following her candid confession, followers of the Bachelor Nation favorite are pouring in love and support.

“FWIW, I love the pace and content you post- so the algorithm might say one thing, but this human finds you *just right*,” wrote one commenter. “You’re always enough, just as you are!” motivated another follower. “And we are here for all the stages of life. Proud of you’re journey, especially in the everyday moments 🫶🏻.”

“Real life IS interesting,” another fan wrote. “We crave authentic representation, and instead keep finding entertainment ‘produced reality’ which is just toxicity in disguise. YOU ARE interesting, bc there is only one you!”

So while Herron might be frustrated with Instagram right now, it seems she has the right kind of people by her side.
