Taylor Frankie Paul is relying on her strength amid ABC’s cancellation of “The Bachelorette” and a video leaked of her 2023 arrest for assaulting her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. In addition, Paul has dealt with the ever-growing backlash and social media hate over her behavior.
Taylor Frankie Paul Relies On Her Faith
Taylor Frankie Paul was informed by fans to stay off her phone. Some have been concerned for her mental health. Despite not posting on Instagram, she’s still active on her TikTok account and has posted cheeky videos.
She noticed a TikToker named Ashley Clemons. In her latest video, she asked fans to stop criticizing Paul after she received hate for supporting the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star.
Clemons is not familiar with Paul or the Hulu series. However, she had to address the hate that she was getting on social media. “I don’t know what’s going on, I don’t know the truth, I don’t know these people. What I do know is that I’m going to continue to pray for Taylor, to pray for her well-being, to pray that she gets whatever help that she may need,” the influencer said.
She made it clear that she doesn’t support bullying. “I am not going to kick somebody that is already down,” Clemons added. She advised her fans and followers to do the same.
Paul reacted to the post. In her comment, she thanked the TikToker and revealed what’s kept her strong amid the fallout.
“I will NEVER forget the ones with me during this time. Thank you. Prayer is exactly what pulls us through; prayer is the only reason I’m still standing,” she wrote.
A Difficult Transition for ABC
Getty“The Bachelor” franchise is navigating its next move. The long-running dating series has already struggled with declining ratings in recent years.
ABC was hoping to reinvigorate the show with Paul’s “Bachelorette” season. Now, the fallout from her cancelled season and domestic violence investigation might’ve left the franchise with an uncertain future, as reported via The U.S. Sun.
“Finding another ‘Bachelorette’ and filming a new season is not at all being considered right now,” an insider told the outlet. “The amount of money it takes to put a whole season together is too high, and it would take too long to scramble that together.”
Another insider told the outlet that the “franchise is dead.” Executives want to move away from this programming and shift their focus to other programming. “They don’t see a path forward to making the show work again, and the interest and ratings were already at an all-time low,” the insider concluded.
ABC had to fill Sunday’s programming time slot with reruns of “American Idol” and the new dating series, “Love Overboard” with Gabby Windey. There are also talks about bringing back another season of “Dancing with the Stars.”
