Joy Behar is pulling back the curtain on what cosmetic procedures she’s had done to her face, confirming treatments she has tried, while also making it clear which one she hasn’t.
The subject came up as “The View” co-host appeared on the show’s Behind the Table podcast, hosted by executive producer Brian Teta.
During the conversation, she came clean about her own past when it comes to her history with plastic surgery and explained why she doesn’t believe men should get it done themselves.
Joy Behar’s Cosmetic Treatment History
As Behar and Teta spoke a bit about aging toward the end of the podcast, Joy kept it real with what she’s had done.
“Everybody thinks I’ve had like a facelift. I have not had a facelift,” she declared. “I tell everybody, I have Botox. I do work on myself. I do Botox. I have Restalyne to fill in [her chin area].”
She also said her vibrant red hair isn’t as natural as it may appear.
“I have hair. I just got it yesterday. I had a dye job, a highlight job, and a Keratin treatment,” she explained. “Look how stunning the hair looks?”
“No, you have to do things,” she said when asked whether she was a natural redhead. “Everyone thinks you look good because you’re naturally that good. You’re not.”
Behar also noted she needed to get a mani-pedi after the podcast, quipping, “Talk about maintenance, oh my goodness, it’s constant.”
Speaking a bit more about the perils of aging, Behar added, “I went to Pilates the other day. Oy. It’s strenuous. I’m pushing it.”
“You know on the list of aging and what you have to do. Of course, you have to eat healthy, which I don’t. They say you have to exercise, which I don’t. I never do it. I’d rather go to the dentist,” she continued. “But the things that I’m good at are, I use my brain, I do the crossword puzzle every day. I write plays. I do my job. I also have a big social network, which I keep up on.”
Joy Behar Says Men Shouldn’t Get Plastic Surgery
In the same conversation, Behar explained why she doesn’t believe men should go under the knife, after Teta said it’s a common belief that “men age better.”
“Men do not age better,” Joy pushed back. “When they start with the Botox, and the eyelid surgery, and the hair dye, they look ridiculous.”
“They’re better off just aging gracefully, and you have that advantage, that people say, ‘You have a distinguished look,'” she added. “One of the sexiest actors is Ed Harris, who has no hair. He’s hot.”
Behar’s recent comments come after she also opened up about turning to GLP-1 medications for weight loss back in February 2026. At the time, she revealed she lost 25 pounds.
“I’ve been on diets up and down, up and down. You lose it, then you gain it back,” Behar said of the struggle to lost weight. “Nobody wants to be fat except a sumo wrestler. It’s uncomfortable, your clothes don’t fit, everybody wants to lose weight.”
In the same episode, “The View” moderator Whoopi Goldberg also said she turned to weight loss meds after weighing in at nearly 300 pounds. “And I’m looking good now!” she exclaimed.
