Fans of country music know that Blake Shelton is one friendly guy, but the former “Voice” coach shows his affections in the most over-the-top way.
Country duo Dan + Shay told Taste of Country on December 1 that Shelton is a super long hugger — and doesn’t mind giving out some smooches as well.
“He might be the longest hugger — he’s a lingerer,” Shay Mooney shared. Dan Smyers added, “He’ll kiss you on the top of your head, too.”
Mooney joked that he was “traumatized” by Shelton’s kisses, and said, “Thanks a lot, Blake.”
Shelton Has Had Many Bromances Over the Years
Shelton and his fellow “Voice” coach Adam Levine were famous for their brotherly banter, but the “Ol Red” singer has tons of other close-knit friendships.
While he’s no longer on “The Voice,” Shelton is keeping busy with another singing competition — “The Road” with Keith Urban.
In a promo reel shared on November 30, he and Urban could barely make their words out before breaking into a fit of giggles.
“Love hearing Keith laughs !! Go Blake & Keith ! Love you guys!!!!” a fan commented. Another wrote, “Too Funny. You two definitely know how to have Fun!”
As reported by Taste of Country in 2014, Shelton has planted a kiss on several other stars, including Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, and Levine.
However, it was all in good fun, and there’s only one leading lady in the country crooner’s life.
Shelton & Gwen Stefani Shared a Sweet Kiss on Social Media
Despite rumors of a breakup, Gwen Stefani and Shelton are proving that they’re still going strong. On October 3, the “Barmageddon” host posted a selfie of him kissing the “No Doubt” band member, writing, “Y’all help me wish @gwenstefani a happy birthday!!!!!! I love you pretty girl!!!!!”
Fans chimed in to wish Stefani a great 56th, with one posting, “Happiest birthday blessings Gwen!” Another acknowledged the rumors by writing, “A Big Happy Girl!! You two just keep provin em wrong!”
Stefani, on her part, shared an affectionate selfie with her husband the day after Thanksgiving in her Instagram Stories, Page Six reported.
Shelton is seen kissing her cheek as Stefani looks at the camera with a subtle smile. The two looked relaxed and happy in their comfortable clothes after celebrating the holiday.
Amid the talk of them splitting, Shelton’s team told the publication, “This is a completely made-up story created solely for headlines and clicks.”
