Michael Bublé is a four-time Grammy winner and longtime “The Voice” coach, but his most important role is dad. The singer and his wife, Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, share four kids and have been married since 2011. Their love story started overseas, grew through music, and became the foundation of a very close family. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Michael Bublé and Luisana Lopilato Met in Argentina
Bublé and Lopilato first crossed paths in Buenos Aires in 2008, not long after Bublé’s breakup with actress Emily Blunt.
Lopilato was already a household name in Argentina thanks to her role in “Rebelde Way” and her pop-rock group Erreway.
Bublé has said he was instantly taken with her and even wrote his hit “Haven’t Met You Yet” about their relationship. She starred in the video before they were officially a couple.
They were engaged by 2009 and married twice in 2011—first in Argentina and then again in Canada.
2. Their Oldest Son Noah Faced a Cancer Battle at Age 3
Noah was born in 2013 and instantly changed Bublé’s world. When he was diagnosed with cancer at age 3, the family put work on hold. After 18 months of treatment, Noah went into remission, per People. Bublé later said the experience reshaped everything in his life and made him see success and family differently.
Now 12, Noah is thriving and has even taken an interest in music. Bublé once shared a video of him playing piano and joked, “He has more talent in his little fingers than I have in my whole body.”
3. Elias Loves Superheroes and Once Asked the Funniest Question
Elias was born in 2016 and is known in the family for his love of Marvel characters. Bublé once shared a birthday picture of him dressed as Captain America.
In a visit to “The View,” Bublé shared the story of telling the kids they were expecting a new baby. Elias wanted to know why he wasn’t invited when “We told them, ‘You know, Mommy has a baby in her tummy and you’re gonna have a little brother or sister,’ and my 5-year-old Eli was just distraught,” the singer recalled. “And we said, ‘What’s wrong?’ and he said, ‘Why didn’t you invite us to watch when you fell in love and made the baby?’ “
4. Vida Is Michael Bublé’s Family’s Dancer and Loves Superheroes Too
Vida arrived in 2018. Her name means “life,” and she was named partly after both grandmothers. Bublé has shared videos of dance classes, Marvel debates, and their father-daughter routines. He once joked her first words were practically: “I am inevitable.”
5. Cielo Is the Youngest—and Likely Their Last Baby
Cielo was born in 2022, and Bublé has said this pregnancy was special because it would “probably be the last.” She was introduced in his music video for “I’ll Never Not Love You,” where Lopilato appeared pregnant in the final scene.
Catch Michael Bublé Monday and Tuesday nights on “The Voice.”
