Blake Shelton and Keith Urban are teaming up for a special night at the Grand Ole Opry as country music icon Ronnie Milsap celebrates 50 years as an Opry member.
The six-time Grammy winner, who has logged more than 35 No. 1 hits, is confirmed to attend the celebration honoring his five decades as part of the Grand Ole Opry family.
Blake Shelton, Keith Urban Lead Ronnie Milsap Tribute at Grand Ole Opry
The Grand Ole Opry will recognize Milsap’s 50th anniversary with performances from Shelton, Urban, Trace Adkins, and Mark Wills, with additional artists expected throughout the evening.
Performers will deliver their favorite Milsap songs.
Milsap’s chart success remains historic. In December 1989, he earned his 40th—and final—No. 1 hit with “A Woman in Love” from the album Stranger Things Have Happened. Only Milsap, George Strait, and Conway Twitty have reached 40 No. 1 songs on the country charts.
The Grand Ole Opry will also reveal its NextStage Class of 2026 that evening, continuing its tradition of honoring both legacy artists and rising stars. This year’s class includes Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Nate Smith, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, and Ella Langley. Since 2019, NextStage artists have collectively delivered 42 No. 1 hits.
Shelton and Gwen Stefani Headline Mardi Gras Concert in New Orleans
Ahead of the Grand Ole Opry celebration honoring Milsap, the former “The Voice” coach and his wife, Gwen Stefani, are also preparing for a major Valentine’s Day appearance in New Orleans.
The couple will headline the 60th annual Krewe of Endymion Extravaganza on Friday, February 14, at Caesars Superdome. Local bands The Mixed Nuts and Sugar Shaker will open the show.
Before the concert, LSU football coach Lane Kiffin and Mardi Gras historian Arthur Hardy will serve as co-grand marshals for the Krewe of Endymion parade, which traditionally wraps with a loop inside the Superdome.
Shelton’s Valentine’s Day performance comes shortly after he addressed ongoing online speculation about his marriage to Stefani.
During a recent appearance on the radio program “Country Countdown USA,” host Lon Helton noted that Shelton’s popularity often makes it difficult to find accurate information about his personal life online.
Shelton agreed, explaining that false headlines seem to surface regularly.
“It’s wild,” he said. “Around October or November, I started seeing headlines saying, ‘Blake and Gwen are done. They’re not even together anymore. They’re getting divorced.’”
He added that the stories tend to flip as soon as the couple is photographed together.
“Then suddenly there’s a photo of us leaving the grocery store and it’s like, ‘They’re back on!’” Shelton said.
According to Shelton, the cycle repeats depending on how often they appear in public.
“If we don’t get spotted for a while, it’s immediately, ‘They’re splitting up,’” he shared. “I finally told Gwen, ‘I don’t know what’s happening out there anymore.’”
Shelton also pointed to artificial intelligence as another source of confusion, saying he’s seen realistic-looking images online that aren’t real.
“I’ll see pictures of us that look completely real,” he said. “And I’m thinking, ‘I don’t even own that shirt,’ or ‘That’s not my car.’”
