HGTV is heading into the final week of August with a schedule that feels a little different from the usual rotation, and honestly, there is a lot packed into these seven days. Between the end of one series, the return of a familiar favorite, and plenty of real estate programming, there is no shortage of reasons to check the lineup.
The biggest change comes Wednesday, when HGTV officially brings its new ’90s-themed series into the schedule. Yep, the network has been leaning into the nostalgia for a while now, and this is the week that it finally becomes a regular part of the lineup.
Of course, there is still plenty of the familiar HGTV programming viewers know and love. Let’s be real, sometimes a week of house hunting, renovations, and questionable design choices is exactly what is needed.
What’s Happening This Week on HGTV
Monday night gets things started with the Season 8 finale of “Ugliest House in America,” after two earlier episodes of the series. “Totally ’90s: House Hunters” and “Totally ’90s: Gardening by the Yard” then take over the night.
Tuesday continues with a new episode of “Love It or List It,” followed by “Extreme Buyers Club.” Then, the ’90s throwbacks return and “House Hunters” rounds out the night.
Wednesday is easily one of the busiest nights of the week. “House Hunters” gets the evening started before two special “Totally ’90s: House Hunters” episodes lead into the premiere of “Totally ’90s House.” Honestly, this feels like HGTV’s biggest nostalgia night of the week.
Thursday keeps things a little more traditional with “House Hunters International,” including a new episode at 10pm that follows the international house-hunting format viewers have come to expect.
Friday brings a familiar lineup with “My Lottery Dream Home,” “Zillow Gone Wild,” “Roast My Rental,” and “House Hunters” all getting new episodes. Saturday is also heavy on “House Hunters,” with a marathon of reruns and a new episode.
Sunday closes out the week with “Love It or List It,” “Maine Cabin Masters,” and another new episode of “House Hunters.”
