Taylor Swift added another major career milestone in 2026, as the superstar was announced as an upcoming inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The honor was revealed on “CBS Mornings” on Jan. 21, and at 36, Swift became the youngest woman ever to earn the distinction by nearly a decade.
As Swift’s latest achievement made headlines, her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also sparked conversation this week after sharing new comments on “New Heights” that fans interpreted as a possible hint about his future — both in football and beyond.
‘Songwriters Hall of Fame’ Induction Makes Taylor Swift the Youngest Woman Honored
Swift is one of several major names headed to the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2026, which was announced by CBS. Alongside the “Mastermind” singer, the class includes Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, songwriting duo Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, and producer-songwriter Walter Afanasieff.
The group’s impact spans generations of music. Afanasieff co-wrote Mariah Carey’s holiday staple “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Britten and Lyle wrote Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It.” Stewart co-wrote and produced Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.”
“The Voice” season 7 and season 17 Mega Mentor’s own catalog is built entirely on songs she has written or co-written, helping her earn 58 Grammy nominations and 14 wins so far. She has also continued setting records at the Grammys. When “Midnights” won Album of the Year in 2024, Swift set the record for most wins in the category by a single artist.
‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Boosts Taylor Swift’s Historic Billboard Record
Swift also made Billboard history with her October release “The Life of a Showgirl,” which spent 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
That achievement marked the fourth album in Swift’s catalog to spend 10 straight weeks at the top, joining “The Tortured Poets Department,” “1989,” and “Fearless.” The milestone made Swift the first woman — and only the third artist overall — to have four albums spend at least 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 since Billboard began regularly publishing the chart in 1956. The other two artists to accomplish the feat were The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
‘New Heights’ Podcast Brings Wedding Talk With Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen
While Swift celebrated another career honor, Kelce drew attention on the January 21 episode of “New Heights,” released Wednesday, Jan. 21. The Kelce brothers welcomed retired NFL star and sports commentator Greg Olsen, and the conversation briefly turned to wedding planning.
Kelce referenced their producer, “Intern Brandon” Borders, who is engaged, and asked Olsen for wedding advice — while making clear it was not directed at Kelce himself.
“Do you have any advice for him — and him alone — on the five must-haves at a good wedding?” Travis asked, grinning.
Olsen responded with a joke about being the key ingredient at any wedding.
“Number one’s me,” Olsen said. “I’m mean, let’s just be honest. I just want to be clear here for anyone potentially getting married — I don’t say it, but there’s a lot of people sayin’ it — if you want it to be memorable and you want there to be great energy and great camaraderie and fellowship and moments, I’m at the top of that list.”
Jason Kelce then teased his brother during the exchange.
“Send the invite, Trav! Send the invite, Trav!” Jason urged, as Travis laughed.
Olsen followed up by adding, “Listen, we don’t do pity invites. There’s no pressure.”
Travis Kelce’s Comments Fuel Talk About Football Future
Kelce also fueled more conversation during the same episode while discussing the Chiefs bringing back offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Bieniemy originally joined Kansas City in 2013, which was Kelce’s rookie year. The two spent 10 seasons together before Bieniemy left in 2023. After stops in Washington, UCLA, and Chicago, Bieniemy is returning to Kansas City.
During the discussion, Kelce sounded energized about the move.
“I love that, (expletive). I think it’s great,” Kelce said.
He later referenced looking forward to Bieniemy being back at the Chiefs facility — a comment fans quickly pointed out could suggest Kelce expects to still be playing.
“I can’t wait to see him back in the building,” Kelce said. “He’s one of my favorite coaches of all-time, one of my favorite people of all time. I’ve had so many unbelievable growing moments under him as a player, as a person, and I just love the guy and it’s going to be awesome to see him back in the building and see him back wearing the Chiefs logo, baby.”
Kelce has not publicly announced whether he will return for a 14th season, but his enthusiasm about Bieniemy’s return sparked fresh speculation following the episode.
