The Voice’: Kelly Clarkson Says Bold New Look Won’t Last

Kelly Clarkson debuted a bold new look during the first episode of “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” but says that it won’t last.

The multi-hyphenate revealed in a performance clip ahead of the series new season that her short haircut won’t be permanent, despite the positive reviews she received online for her sassy new style.

Why won’t Kelly Clarkson keep her hair short?

In the YouTube clip, Kelly Clarkson revealed the reason why she won’t keep the bob that had viewers talking during the debut episode of “The Voice: Battle of Champions.”

Clarkson admitted, “My hair guy, Robert, is so good. They braided all my hair except for the very tippy-top.”

She continued, “I asked for a bob, because I really want to cut my hair, but I’m like one of those moms that’s like, ‘I’m wearing Alo every day…I got my mom bun … I’m comfortable, okay?'”

Clarkson concluded, “I can’t be having short hair, that’s hard to keep up with, you know what I’m saying? “But [Robert] is so talented, everybody thought that I had chopped my hair off, but I didn’t.”

Fans Loved Kelly Clarkson’s Short New Hairstyle

In the comments section of an Instagram post celebrating the new season of “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” fans shared their thoughts about Kelly Clarkson’s bold look. Fans supported the superstar singer for her ability to switch her look up effortlessly.

One fan wrote, “Happy my favorite coaches are returning, love Kelly’s fresh look.” A second penned, “Love Kelly’s look and her hair looks fabulous.”

“Kelly’s hair looks cute,” declared a third viewer. “Love the hair, and outfit. Reminds me of when Kelly sang [the Aretha Franklin song] ‘Respect’ on ‘American Idol,'” a fourth Instagram user recalled.

The last time Clarkson reportedly cut her hair short was in 2006. NBC Insider says that the entertainer had an edgy blonde bob when she performed at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Awards Party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California. Additionally, she wore a shorter hairstyle in 2018, when she was photographed at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.
