“Full House” star Bob Saget passed away on January 9, 2022, and his cause of death was determined to be head trauma. He was 65. At the time of his passing, he was married to Kelly Rizzo, who has publicly mourned her husband and shared her grief journey, including how she has started to believe that Saget has sent her signs from beyond the grave.
Kelly Rizzo Shares Touching Story About Receiving Signs
Rizzo discussed what these signs were on an episode of her podcast, Comfort Food with Kelly Rizzo. The podcast episode dropped on Wednesday, June 3, and in it, Rizzo asked listeners if they “believe in signs?” She went on to clarify what she means, saying, “And when I mean signs, I mean signs from your loved ones, signs from somebody who’s passed away.”
“I maybe thought it was a little woo-woo. It was not really in my realm of consciousness,” she said, before admitting that she now feels differently. In the years since Saget’s passing, Rizzo has started to believe in signs from the dead.
“I have two crazy stories. And if you don’t believe in it, that’s fine. I’m not trying to convince anybody of anything. But I’m going to explain these to you, and you tell me what you think,” she shared. The first sign occurred during Saget’s funeral, when a flock of doves passed overhead. She described doves as “Bob’s big thing” and noted how he would always speak about them.
“Lori said, ‘They were the most beautiful doves. Did you guys get somebody to release the doves?” Rizzo recalled what Lori Loughlin had told her. At the time, consumed by grief, she had not noticed the doves, but other attendees had. “Doves for him were a sign from his mom,” Rizzo shared.
She also revealed that a wooden figurine on the mantel of the new house she would buy felt like a sign, but that the “biggest sign” came four months after Saget’s death.
The Scary Incident Kelly Rizzo Experienced & What Brought Her Comfort
Rizzo was with her sister, and she started to have vision problems. “I remember looking at my sister’s face, and I’m like, ‘I can’t see you,’” she said. “I can’t see her face … it just started getting worse and worse.”
She continued, “Now there’s all these weird colors and shapes. And I’m like, ‘I’m having a stroke. I’m gonna die because this is not normal.’ And my sister was like, ‘I don’t know what to do. I’m worried …” She got in contact with her doctor, who informed her that she may be having a migraine.
And then something else happened. About 30 minutes later, Rizzo described this “kaleidoscope thing” that was covering her vision and how it went away. But during her stress and concern, she looked down and saw a “printed out photo of Bob that was the last photo he ever posted on his Instagram.” And she started to pray, but also asked Saget to help her and let her be okay. The next day, she had a phone call with her other sister, who told her that her niece had said, at the time of this scary experience, “Aunty Kelly is scared.” When her mom questioned how she knew this, the little girl replied, “Uncle Bob told me.”
