Following the terrible news of Dolly Parton’s passing at the age of 80 on Tuesday, August 25, further bad news emerged when it was revealed that the singer-songwriter and actress’ star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame had been mindlessly vandalized.
Parton’s star was already showing signs of deterioration, having been there for more than 40 years (it was placed there in 1984), and plans were already in place to replace it before the vandalism. However, those plans became even more of a priority after the heartless act.
Rather wonderfully, the “Queen of Country’s” new restored star is already in place — and it’s fair to say it looks more beautiful than ever.
Dolly Parton’s New Star Has a Fitting Butterfly Tribute
TMZ were the first to report that Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star had been restored after the damage it suffered — and the new version has a fitting addition to it.
For now, at least, a turquoise butterfly symbol has been placed on the star. Butterflies famously became the trademark symbol for Parton, as they represent her connection to nature, personal freedom, gentle transformation, and a peaceful spirit that refuses to harm others.
A display of beautiful flowers has also been arranged around the star, adding to its beauty.
When TMZ shared some pictures of the restored star with the 8.5 million followers on their Instagram account, fans of Parton commented en masse expressing their universal approval.
One of Parton’s fans commented, “I’m sure she’s smiling down from heaven 😍.”
Another fan wrote, “Glad they fixed it so quickly , the butterfly and flowers look perfect for Dolly. She deserved a star that shines again.”
Somebody else said, “Who would do such a thing? So grateful it’s been restored!!😍😍😍”
“Dolly’s star looks beautiful. I love the butterfly 🦋 touch. It’s perfect, it’s so her. She is smiling down at us,” noted another individual.

A Los Angeles Content Creator Posted a Video of Parton’s Star
Los Angeles-based content creator Seth on the Scene posted a video of Dolly Parton’s new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, sharing it with the 30,000+ followers on his Instagram account.
It’s a 14-second clip of Seth approaching the star, before pointing his video camera directly down at it in all its glory. The video ends with a black-and-white picture of Parton looking beautiful. Her song “I Will Always Love You” plays over the post.
Seth’s caption on his post reads, “The fully restored Dolly Parton star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been revealed. She is shinning [sic] among us.”

We’re so glad Dolly Parton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been replaced. It looks absolutely glorious and we’ve no doubt she would love it.
