William Daniels Shares Sweet Video With a Nod to ‘Boy Meets World’
On the day before his birthday, Daniels shared a social media video to thank his fans for being there for him in recent years.
Speaking to his 33,700 followers in a 22-second video, Daniels said, “Over the years, I’ve enjoyed connecting with fans and friends through Cameo and at events.”
He continued, “Thank you for keeping me young. So, keep it up, huh?”
Daniels concluded his video message with a line with which “Boy Meets World” fans will be familiar. He said, “Class dismissed,” with a wry smile.
The video’s accompanying post read, “Hard to believe I’m turning 99 tomorrow! I’m so grateful that staying connected with my fans has been so fulfilling in my later years. While I’m taking a pause on long distance travel, I’m still available on Cameo!”
At the end of the post, Daniels linked to his Cameo profile.
The actor has also been speaking exclusively to People to mark his 99th birthday.
William Daniels’ ‘Whole Family Is Getting Together’ to Celebrate His 99th Birthday
GettyIn his interview with People, William Daniels told the publication, “I certainly don’t feel 99 years old, that’s for sure.”
He was asked about turning 100 in a year’s time and joked, “Oh, I don’t want to be a hundred. Who wants to be a hundred?”
Regarding the celebrations for his 99th birthday, Daniels explained that he and his family — including his wife, retired actress Bonnie Bartlett, and sons Michael and Robert — intend on keeping them relatively low-key.
He said, “To celebrate my 99th, the whole family is getting together. My two sons, their wives, and our four grandchildren. Half of our family lives on the East Coast, so it’s great to have everyone in one place.”
Daniels then elaborated on yesterday’s X post, saying he keeps himself young by going to fan conventions, working out with a personal trainer, and filming Cameos for his fans.
“I do hundreds of cameos every year, and that feels good,” he said. “It allows me to perform, which demands a certain amount of energy and focus. I think that’s good for me. I like being productive.”
