Jane Seymour reunited with key cast members from her hit 90s TV show “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” on April 17, 2026. The series, which originally ran from 1993 to 1998, still airs on Hallmark Family and can be streamed on Hallmark+, but fans and many cast members are hoping for a reboot.
The period romance series — set in 1860 in Colorado Springs — aired on CBS from 1993 to 1997, with Seymour as Dr. Michaela Quinn, a.k.a. Dr. Mike, and Joe Lando as her romantic interest, Byron Sully.
Shawn Toovey, who played young Brian Cooper, shared many photos from the reunion, captioning one, “Exhausted, and didn’t get anywhere near as many pictures as I wanted, but it was so great catching up with our #drquinnmedicinewoman family. A huge thank you to all the fans who showed up to help celebrate Jane, and the amazing show that was Dr. Quinn. Even after all this time, the support for the show is just incredible! #bringbackdoctorquinn”
‘Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman’ Cast Members Reunited for a Good Cause
In addition to Seymour and Toovey, other “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” cast members on hand for the epic Los Angeles reunion included:
- Joe Lando (who starred as Byron Sully)
- Geoffrey Lower (who played Rev. Timothy Johnson)
- Erika Flores (who played Colleen Cooper in four of the six seasons)
- Jessica Bowman (who also played the part of Colleen Cooper in alternate seasons)
- Jonelle Allen (who played Grace)
- Brandon Douglas (who played Dr. Andrew Cook in seasons four through six)
- Brandon Hammond (who played young Anthony in the fifth season)
The cast and crew reunion was part of Seymour’s annual fundraising event for her Open Hearts Foundation, which includes Jane’s Jubilee Celebration on her estate and a gala the next night. The nonprofit provides “immediate grants to small, emerging charities,” per its website.
‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’ Cast & Fans Want a Series Reboot
Seeing so many cast members together reunited fans’ calls for a series reboot, which multiple “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” alums have said they’d love, too. In June 2025, Seymour told Swooon that she and Lando would jump at the chance “if somebody wanted to, but we haven’t found anyone that wants to, which I find astounding since they brought every show that’s ever been made back.”
The duo did co-star in a 2022 Lifetime Christmas movie, “A Christmas Spark,” but Seymour said, “Joe and I are actively looking for something to do just because we love working together, but also because we know the fan base would really be hungry for it.”
That was clear from the reaction Toovey received on his reunion posts from fans, many of whom included the hashtag #bringbackdrquinn in their comments.
One wrote, “It’s great to see you all!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us. You all look wonderful 🤩😍 #bringbackdrquinn”
“All these photos are absolutely beautiful,” another fan chimed in. “It’s so good and great to see you all at this event, you are all too beautiful and you haven’t changed since Dr. Quinn💖✨ #bringbackdoctorquinn”
Someone else commented, “Beautiful pictures and thank you so much for those of us who couldn’t be there to see them, it would be so great if the series continued, you were and are just great 😘”
Although plans for a reboot are still up in the air, Seymour did reveal during the reunion that Lando will join the fifth season of her show “Harry Wild,” which airs on Acorn TV and BBC America. In a video posted by producer David Dubinsky, she even teased that sparks may even fly between their characters.
