Beloved musician Rod Stewart welcomed his sixth grandchild into the world in August when his daughter, Ruby Stewart, gave birth to her second child with fiancé Jake Kalick.
Ruby Stewart Shares Birth of Her Baby Boy
Ruby shared the happy news on Instagram on Sunday, August 9, informing fans that their son, Levi, was born on August 4. She also gave a glimpse into their first few days as a family of four. In the caption, she shared her thoughts, writing, “We welcomed our little(big) Levi Rhodes Kalick at 6:58pm on 8/4/26 at 9lbs 20inches…. His name Levi means My Heart and his arrival has grown our hearts to 10 times the size… seeing Otis and Levi meet for the first time might have been the greatest experience of my life so far… Otis is already the best big brother and we are already so in love with this sweet boy… Welcome sweet Levi!”
Kalick responded to the post, writing, “Boy mom.” The couple already has a son, Otis, who is 3.
Friends, family and fans also reacted, sharing loving and supportive messages in the post’s comment section. “Welcome to the Stewart- Kalick family Levi! You are so loved already!! I can’t wait to meet him soon!,” a comment reads. “Happy Birthday, Levi. Congratulations and love to everyone. Looks like Otis is a natural at being a big brother” another person shared.

All About Rod Stewart’s Children
The couple shared the news of their pregnancy on May 10, when they posted a photo of Otis holding ultrasound photos of his baby brother. In the caption, Ruby joked, “We couldn’t decide on what to get Otis for his third birthday so we decided a sibling should suffice… baby Kalick #2 coming in early August…”
Ruby is one of the “The First Cut Is the Deepest” musician’s eight children. In addition to Ruby, Stewart is also a father to Sarah, Kimberly, Sean, Renee, Liam, Alastair and Aiden. He shares his children with five different women: ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey, ex-wife Alana Stewart, and Ruby’s mother, Kelly Emberg, who is his ex-girlfriend. Stewart also has children with his ex-wife, Rachel Hunter, and his current wife, Penny Lancaster. Stewart and Lancaster married in 2007.
Stewart is a proud father, and he said as much in the caption of an Instagram post showing his children. He posted the photo on June 21, sharing his thoughts in the caption. “Proud to be their Father,” he wrote.
In a November 2021 interview with People, Stewart spoke about his roles as a father. “I have to be several different fathers because of the different age groups of my kids,” he said. “You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems.”
He continued, “For instance, my 15-year-old is dating girls, so I had to give him a sex lesson. I just told him what he should and shouldn’t do, but he’s on top of it. He was like, ‘Dad, I’ve got the internet. I know everything.’”
