“Vanderpump Rules” will soon return to Bravo with a brand new cast. However, Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney helped put the series on the map. Recently, he opened up and revealed what they did with her second wedding ring after they divorced.
Schwartz and Maloney got married in 2016, with the ceremony being filmed for “Vanderpump Rules.” They later learned that the first marriage wasn’t legally binding, so they had a second ceremony in 2019. Sadly, she filed for divorce from him in 2022.
Tom Schwartz Says Katie Maloney Still Has the Ring
Schwartz was on a recent episode of his “Retox Detox” podcast with jeweler Kyle Chan as a guest. Chan designed the ring for his second ceremony with Maloney. Schwartz said, “My favorite thing you ever made me, personally, was for me and Katie’s second wedding at Caesars [Palace] in Las Vegas.”
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum continued, “We found a heart-shaped tanzanite diamond. I think it was 13 carats. We set it in rose gold, and Katie still has it. It’s one of the most — and I’m not flexing here — I just think, objectively, it’s one of the most beautiful rings.”
Chan interjected, “I love that ring. I still want to see it on her.” From there, Schwartz then joked that it was Chan’s jewelry that doomed couples on “Vanderpump Rules.”
He said, “None of the relationships lasted on Vanderpump Rules. Do you think it was your jewelry that jinxed them?” The celebrity jeweler responded, “No. I think it’s a Vanderpump curse. It’s not a Kyle Chan curse.”
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Recently Gave an Update
Divorce is never fun, but the ability to remain cordial after separating makes it easier. Schwartz recently appeared on Lala Kent’s “Unconditionally Lala” podcast and gave an update on where he stands with Maloney.
He said, “Me and Katie are great. I don’t see that much, but she’s so sweet. She’s so freaking sweet to me, always, and kind. [She] sends me funny texts sometimes. But, also, I’m respectful of our boundaries.”
Schwartz also discussed Maloney’s new boyfriend, Nick Martin. He says they met in February 2025. According to him, “And I love her boyfriend.”
He continued He’s a literal rockstar, and he’s just [really] cool. And they seem so happy and in love. I don’t know the intricacies of their relationship, but it makes me so happy to see [Katie] happy. It really does, and I have so much love for her.”
Regarding Schwartz’s dating life, he was previously dating Sophia Skoro, but they broke up in early 2025. Professionally, he will appear in “The Valley” season three and is also set to be featured in a new movie.
Sorry Tom too little to late. Katie Loved the heck out of you. She put up with so much disrespect from you. When you were married to her you should have put her above everyone. A wife and husband should always come first. She put you first in everything. You put your friends way ahead of her. Not once in all if the years you two were together did you ever stick up for your wife. You always sided with others. And that Mr Tom was the worst thing you could have done to your wife. So she finally got tired of being last all of the time she was with you. And you gave her no other choice but to move on and divorce you. And then the both of you promised no dating anyone in your group. And even then you couldn’t give her that. You had to fool around with Rachel and stick up for Rachel and yet again you pushed Katie aside for a another friend/crush. And oh yea let’s nit forget all of your excuses for being drunk before marriage and yes after marriage that you say you only made out with this one or that one. You were lucky she didn’t leave you years ago. I’m not saying your a bad person but you treated Katie your girlfriend and wife like shit the whole time you were with her and she took your bullshit from the day you threw a drink over her head. You were so very inconsiderate and MEAN to the one person who loved you unconditionally. You’ll never get another girl like Katie who kept making excuses for your bad behavior towards her. Katie was one of a kind to put up with the way you always disrespected her infront of everyone. And I mean all of the millions of us fans who tuned in every week. So next time you fall in love remember why your wife divorced you. You’ll never get another girl to love you like Katie loved you.
