Tom Schwartz is officially taking his next big leap — from the bars of West Hollywood to the bright lights of Hollywood itself. The “Vanderpump Rules” favorite has landed his first major acting role, and it’s all thanks to actor Lukas Gage.
Lukas Gage Helped Tom Schwartz Land His First Acting Role
During the October 15 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” star revealed that he helped Schwartz book his first acting role earlier this year.
“I got Tom Schwartz his first acting job,” Lukas told Andy Cohen and the live audience, who immediately wanted more details. The actor, who also released the memoir “I Wrote This for Attention,” explained, “Guys, I did this movie called ‘Love Language,’ where me and the writer, we talked about [how] we just refer to ‘Vanderpump Rules’ the whole entire movie.”
The film, described as a romantic comedy, stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Billie Lourd, Manny Jacinto, and Anthony Ramos, according to Deadline. Lukas revealed that Schwartz appears as himself in the movie. “He’s not bad. He was actually good,” Lukas added. “He was excited to be there … We like Tom.”
Interestingly, Lukas was once rumored to be dating Schwartz’s ex-wife and “Vanderpump Rules” costar, Katie Maloney — making this Hollywood connection all the more surprising for Bravo fans.
Tom Schwartz Opens Up About His Acting Ambitions
While “Love Language” marks Schwartz’s first movie role, it’s not his first time in front of the camera outside Bravo. According to his IMDb profile, he’s appeared as himself on “Stars on Mars” and had minor roles in “Two and a Half Men” and HBO’s “True Blood.”
Schwartz revealed on the June 10 episode of “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” that acting has been a longtime passion. “I did theatre in high school,” he said. “I don’t know why, I felt ashamed of it. I felt, like, too egotistical, or I was like, ‘Why would I deserve to be an actor?’ … but I always wanted to be an actor.”
He also shared that the desire runs in the family, telling Bristowe that he’s the grandson of comedian Woody Woodbury. “I think I got a quarter of that … I had a quarter of a fire burning in me from a very young age,” Schwartz said.
Tom Schwartz will appear—again as himself—in season 3 of “The Valley,” coming to Bravo in 2026.

If his acting is anything like the way he treated his x wife Katie. Then I’m sure he’ll suck at acting. Cause he has no personality at all. The way he never put his wife first above anyone especially his friends was discusting. We the fans were so happy when Katie finally realized that he never really loved her. Tom Scandoval always was first before his wife. We all hope he flops. Which in our eyes he already is a big loser. We the fans of Katie and Ariana will never go see anything either Toms are in. They are doomed for failure……PERIOD
Tom’s great! I hope he has tremendous success.
Only want good things for Tom Schwartz! He’s always accused of being the entire reason his marriage to Katie failed. Not true in my opinion. She was so temperamental and condescending to him. I’m surprised he lasted ten yrs with her. Good luck in everything you do Tom
