Brittany Cartwright is clearing the air about her recent breakup and a viral health comment that had fans confused. The 36-year-old star of “The Valley” confirmed she split from boyfriend Brandon Hanson on a new episode of her podcast “When Reality Hits.” Days later, an insider revealed why the short relationship ended — and Cartwright took to Instagram to clarify her remark about having her “tubes removed” following her recent surgery.
Brittany Cartwright Split From Boyfriend Brandon Hanson
According to Us Weekly, Cartwright and Hanson’s relationship came to an end because of distance and scheduling challenges.
“The distance and obligations were too much for her, and she didn’t see it going anywhere long-term,” a source told the outlet on October 14. “Brittany is really proud of herself for showing growth and knowing when things are done instead of trying to stick around and be unhappy.”
The insider added, “[She] is focusing on her and Cruz’s happiness right now.”
Cartwright confirmed the split on the October 10 episode of “When Reality Hits,” which she co-hosts with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
“I’m single,” she said. “We actually did not last. We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to.”
Despite the breakup, Cartwright said she and Hanson remain on good terms. “We still care a lot about each other,” she explained. “It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance, and he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we lived three hours away, so it was just too tough to keep it going.”
Cartwright added that she still has “a lot of healing to do” and “a lot of learning to do,” but she wished Hanson “the best.”
‘The Valley’ Star Clarifies Her ‘Tubes Removed’ Comment
Following her comments about recovery from a “mommy makeover,” Cartwright had to clarify a misunderstanding after she mentioned having her “tubes removed.” Fans immediately speculated about her fertility, prompting Cartwright to set the record straight.
“I’m obviously talking about my drains (tubes),” she explained in an Instagram Story. “I’ve been calling them tubes because that’s what they looked like lol. I still have my fallopian tubes (to clear up from DMs I have received).”
Cartwright has been open with fans about her recovery process and has continued sharing updates as she heals.
Production on “The Valley” season three is currently underway, with the new season expected to premiere on Bravo in early 2026.
