Molly O’Connell Makes Her Singing Debut

“Southern Charm” star Molly O’Connell braverly took the stage for her first-ever live gig at Charleston’s By the Way restaurant. Already known as a model and talented euphonium player, she proved that she can add singer to her list of impressive talents.

Several patrons at the restaurant that night shared video footage of O’Connell belting out tunes like Jewel’s “Foolish Games” and “Come Together” by The Beatles, with the reality star sharing them on her Instagram Stories.

Additionally, O’Connell’s co-stars Salley Carson and Venita Aspen were also there to root her on. After her performance, O’Connell shared a photo alongside Carson and Aspen, with the caption, “Thankful my girls (and everyone else!) came to support me last night at my first real gig EVER at @bythewaychs !!”

In her comment section, Carson wrote, “my talented queen.” Meanwhile, Rod Razavi, who appeared on “Southern Charm” season 9, also appeared to be at her show. “You killed it last night! Looking forward to the next one,” he wrote.

Although it marked O’Connell’s first-time ever singing in front of a crowd, she is very comfortable performing. As fans remember in season 10, O’Connell invited her “Southern Charm” co-stars to a concert where they watched her euphonium performance with the Charleston band.

Fans who follow O’Connell on TikTok were pleasantly surprised when she shared a video of herself singing Kacey Musgraves’ “Slow Burn.” Not only did she deliver an incredible vocal performance, but she also played the piano. It left everyone wondering, what can’t this girl do?

“omg you are an amazing singer girl you need to showcase this more,” a fan wrote in the comment section. “Wow. You have a beautiful voice!” Another fan wrote.

“I was listening to you on the vial files and had to come find this. As someone else who loves music/songs but has major anxiety you gave me hope. you have a beautiful voice,” a fan shared.

What that fan was referring to was O’Connell’s January interview with “The Viall Files.” There, she was asked about her TikTok video, with Nick Viall wondering why she didn’t pursue a career in music.

“Well, speaking of the anxiety that I have, I sang a lot as a kid. I was in choir my entire life. I did musical theatre in high school, I double majored in college in vocals and band with scholarships. So, I really love to sing and play music, but singing in front of people, like, really gets me,” she shared.

She continued, “I’ll choke up and my voice won’t sound as good, and, honestly, the anxiety of that kind of made me quit music for like a decade.”

Fans are loving her newfound confidence on stage and can’t wait to hear more from her!
