In the text overlay of the video, Cartwright gave an update about what was happening in the picture. “This is so heartbreaking, our pawpaws’ last barn on the farm burned down today, and we have no idea why,” she shared. “The other barn fell down in a bad storm a couple of years ago. My mom is devasted so many memories since she was a little girl were made here. If you ever watched ‘Jax and Brittany take Kentucky,’ you saw this barn many times on the show!”

Cartwright did share a silver lining, though, noting that no one was hurt in the fire and the animals were also safe. Still, it was the end of something special to the family and was a part of her grandfather’s legacy.

Brittany Cartwright Is a Farm Girl

The reality TV star is proud of her Kentucky heritage and has shared photos of her farm life before, referring to herself as a “Kentucky girl.” In an Instagram post on October 20, 2016, Cartwright posted a photo of herself on the farm petting a horse. “It feels so good to be home on the farm! This is our baby, Delilah, who needs a bath. lol #Kentucky #JaxAndBrittany,” she captioned the post at the time.

In another Instagram post on November 9, 2024, Cartwright shared several photos that offered a glimpse into her farm life and showed her young son, Cruz, thriving. Pictures included photos of horses, tractors, and open fields.

Cartwright and her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, have also spent time on her childhood farm. In 2017, they visited the location as part of the spin-off “Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky.” In the show, she revealed how she calls her grandfather “Pawpaw” and her grandmother “Mamaw.” It also showed how Jax struggled to adapt to farm life and his strained relationship with Cartwright’s grandmother.

“I think my relationship with Mamaw is equivalent to my relationship with Lisa Vanderpump,” he said on the show, People reports. “She’s the queen of the farm — or, in animal terms, she’s the bull.”
