The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star shared a vulnerable life update. Danielle Cabral revealed that her husband, Nate Cabral, is preparing for another operation after doctors discovered a regrown colloid cyst. “Here we go again. Brain surgery number two,” Cabral shared in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Galai/Getty Images for MTV)“In 2017, days before Vee was born, Nate had emergency brain surgery to remove a colloid cyst from his third ventricle. He was very sick,” she explained.
“His symptoms recently started coming back, and after taking a scan a few weeks ago, we learned his cyst has grown. In one week, he will be heading back into NYU for his second brain surgery.”
This time, she added, Nate is walking into the hospital with a positive outlook. “And of course, a big slice of the infamous brain cake will be waiting for him.”
Who Is Nate Cabral?
Nate is a Massachusetts native who met Danielle in Los Angeles before the couple tied the knot in 2012 at the Tuscan Garden at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden on Staten Island. Together, they are raising two children, Dominic and Valentina, in New Jersey.
Fans got to know Nate when he appeared alongside Danielle in Season 13 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Danielle described her husband as a strong partner, telling cameras, “[Nate is] a man! And I don’t mean that in like, ‘I want to lift up weights.’ I mean it in like, ‘I’m gonna take care of you, baby, for the rest of your life.'”
Life in New Jersey With Danielle & Their Kids
The Cabrals’ family life has been front and center since joining Bravo. Nate is a devoted dad, often spotted coaching Dominic’s baseball team. Danielle has joked that their kids will inherit her outspoken personality.
“You always wanted our kids to have your personality. Are you happy they have it now?” Nate asked during Season 13. Danielle responded, “I’m actually afraid.”
Nate’s Career Beyond Reality TV
In addition to his role as a Bravo Househusband, Nate has built a thriving career as an entrepreneur. He co-founded Flash Security Integrators in 2019, a company Danielle often credits for helping make their family’s lifestyle possible.
“The reality is that if my husband didn’t work his ass off, none of it would be possible for me. I’d still be working my 9-5 miserable NYC job,” Danielle wrote in a September 2022 Instagram tribute. “You’re such an amazing example for our children to see how hard work really pays off.”
Before his Bravo debut, Nate and Danielle also appeared on the DIY series “Family Under Construction,” which documented their New Jersey home renovation. Now, as part of “RHONJ,” he has stepped fully into the Househusbands spotlight, showing fans he can hold his own with the rest of the Jersey crew.
