It seems like just last year that Kim Zolciak Biermann was chasing after her babies on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and now, boy, are they growing up! The reality OG took to her Instagram on Sept. 28, 2025, to share an emotional look at her oldest son, KJ.
Kim Gets Emotional Over Her Son
Dario Cantatore/Getty ImagesThe Bravo star took to her Instagram Story to share a snap of her 14-year-old son, Kroy Jagger “KJ” Biermann, that was captured by Bravo’s The Daily Dish.
The teenager was on his way to his very first high school homecoming dance, and Kim was emotional over the precious photo she had posted. “My heart. [KJ] and Ella Homecoming last night. Of course [as] soon as I saw them the tears were rolling. I want time to slow down please,” she shared.
KJ wore an all-black three-piece suit with a black button-up, a black bowtie, and a rose boutonnière that matched his date’s dress.
Kim married Kroy Biermann, her estranged husband, in 2011—the former couple shares four children together, KJ, Kash, Kaia, and Kane Biermann. Kroy also adopted Kim’s older daughters, Brielle and Ariana, in 2013.
Kim Is Thriving in Motherhood After Divorce

Since filing for divorce in May 2023, they finally sold their mansion in Georgia, and now lead very separate lives. Their divorce hasn’t been finalized yet, but both have moved on.
Since their initial divorce filing in May 2023, Kim and Kroy have sold their Georgia mansion and are now living under separate roofs. Kim has confirmed that she is dating again, but her kids are her priority. On April 2, 2025, she paid tribute to her sons, Kash and KJ, on Instagram.
In her caption, Kim wrote, “I could not be more proud of @ka.sh9330 winning DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. This is his first year playing tackle. Kash’s true passion is Football. That’s all he wants to do, and to see the sparkle in his eyes is priceless. @kjbiermann and Kash are both so committed to the game. I love that KJ was so supportive of his brother winning. Kj was so happy for Kash and extremely proud of him. I’m so happy that they have each other. Forever grateful they chose me to be their Mom. Huge thank you to all of KASH’s coaches. It takes a village.”
