“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Cabral is sharing what she knows about the show’s newest cast members. While Cabral admitted she didn’t test-shoot with the cast, she shared some insight into what fans can look forward to.
“I think we should all be very excited about the test shooting and who they’re potentially looking to add,” she told Us Weekly on the MTV VMAs red carpet. “I’m excited about their potential in the friend group, because they’re cool,” Cabral said of “RHONJ” new cast members. “They’re really cool girls.”
Cabral expressed her own excitement about the potential new cast, explaining, “We need fresh. We need new. We need something more than what we were dealing with.”
Is Danielle Cabral Returning to ‘RHONJ’?
Cabral was open about the fact that she wasn’t asked to test-shoot with potential new cast members. “I wasn’t, but that’s OK. I think they’re getting it right,” she shared. “The new is really cool, and I think everybody’s gonna be happy.”
Us Weekly reported that Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania and Melissa Gorga did participate in the test-shoot. However, a Bravo rep told the outlet, “no official casting decisions have been made.” It seems as though Cabral’s future on the show is still uncertain, but she’s maintaining a positive attitude.
“If that’s the case, if I don’t come back, it was a wild two rides. But if I do, I think you’re gonna see a different Housewife come back,” she explained. “I’m not a deer in headlights, and I know what I signed up for now.”
Cabral joined the cast for seasons 13 and 14, but the show has been on hiatus since August 2024. A source told Daily Mail at the time, “There is not going to be any more filming of RHONJ for the remainder of the year. There’s nothing planned. It’s on ice.”
Cabral Had a ‘Perfect’ Night at the VMAs
For now, Cabral is spending her time as a busy mom to her kids, Valentina, 8, and Dominic, 10, but on September 7 she got out for a special night.
The reality star attended the MTV VMAs and got to meet a fellow New Jersey star, DJ Pauly D of “Jersey Shore” fame. Cabral posted a video on Instagram that captured the moment, and talked about how star-struck she was.
“As if the night wasn’t perfect already,” Cabral captioned the post, adding, “We did it! For years, I’ve been a fan. He was the last of my ‘big 3’ that I wanted to meet.”
