Andy Cohen is thrilled that fans think he had plastic surgery. On the Jan. 5 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, the Bravo host responded to rumors about his appearance when he hosted CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper.
Cohen, 57, said he was “so flattered” that people thought he had work done—because he didn’t.
“All the plastic surgery rumors surrounding me,” Cohen said. “I just texted Anderson. I go, ‘Plastic surgery rumors today, this time on TMZ.’ … I love the speculation that I have dramatically changed my face.”
“I haven’t,” the “Watch What Happens Live” host clarified. “By the way, I got the teeniest, if you listen to Radio Andy every day, you know. I got the teeniest bit of Botox. I got four minor veneers in front. I mean, they’re pretty minor.”
Cohen admitted he did indulge in a last-minute glow-up before the live New Year’s Eve broadcast.
“The other thing I did, first of all, and I need to apologize to Caroline, my makeup artist,” he said. “She comes to my house at five in the afternoon, or five thirty, when I’m dressed. I’m about to get in the car, and she does my makeup. And Anderson and I, we meet in this hotel room where we hang out, get ready, go over the show. … But then Anderson’s makeup gal comes in, and she’s like, ‘Are you okay?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah.’ I go, ‘You know, warm me up a little bit. Give me some more tanner.’”
Cohen and his co-host John Hill joked that next to Cohen, Cooper looked like he could have used some bronzer.
Andy Cohen Once Said He Liked to Age ‘Naturally’
Cohen used to say he wasn’t interested in trying Botox. In 2021, he replied to a Twitter commenter who suggested he should get the cosmetic procedure.
“Daddy is quite happy without Botox! Thanks though. I like to age naturally,” Cohen replied.
The dad of two has embraced his natural grey hair. Speaking with Vogue, Cohen’s close friend Sarah Jessica Parker once said, “I’m sitting with Andy Cohen, and he has a full head of grey hair, and he’s exquisite.”
Andy Cohen Told Fans When He First Had Botox
It’s been about a year since Cohen changed his stance on Botox.
During a November 2024 appearance on the “How to Fail” podcast, he said, “I’ve not touched it. I’ve never even had Botox. Joan Rivers, before she died, used to beg me to get Botox. And every guy that I know who’s hosting a TV show, mainly all of them are younger than me or about my age, they all have had Botox. I look at their foreheads. I’m like, ‘Your forehead does not move.'”
Less than two months later, Cohen posted to X to reveal that he did try the procedure and felt that he should tell fans because he always asks “Real Housewives” stars about the cosmetic procedures they’ve had done.
“I had Botox for the first time 3 weeks ago,” the Bravo host shared in January 2025. “Been talking about it on the radio a lot. After all, I ask the women in the last 18 years of Housewives, I will be transparent if I ever do anything else!”
