Hallmark recently announced that it would be collaborating with Walt Disney World for a 2026 Christmas movie. The stars are already on site filming, and it seems thta the days have been filled with hard work and lots of fun.
On December 6, Variety reported that a first-ever movie collaboration between the Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World was happening. The movie is titled “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” and stars Lacey Chabert.
According to Variety, the cast also includes “Christmas Getaway” star Travis Van Winkle, “Inside Out” and “Mad About You” alum Richard Kind, and Disney Channel veteran Christy Carlson Romano.
Christy Carlson Romano Is Having a Blast
On January 10, Romano took to Instagram to share a few fun tidbits about filming. She noted that this was the “1st ever Hallmark x Disney Movie,” and she said she was having “so much fun.”
Romano acknowledged that it hadn’t been all fun and games, though. Before filming the video she uploaded to Instagram, she had worked from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Despite the long day of filming, Romano was excited because her kids were coming and they were going to hit the parks.
Romano is known by many of her fans for her roles in Disney’s “Even Stevens” and “Kim Possible.” The name of her “Holiday Ever After” character, and how they figure into the upcoming Hallmark film, are details that have not yet been revealed.
Fans Are Excited for the Hallmark-Disney Movie to Air
Romano noted that she hadn’t filmed a role as an actress in several years, perhaps not since 2019. It sounds as if she was loving the opportunity to step back into acting again, though.
She also encouraged fans to approach her to say hello if they happen to see her, and she said she truly loves them all.
“I’m telling you right now, I’ve always felt this way about my fans, y’all are like my children. When you say that I raised you or that I was your childhood, that actually means a lot to me. And I take it seriously,” Romano explained.
Several of Romano’s Instagram followers left comments about how excited they are for the movie.
One wrote, “Literally the MOST excited to see you in the new Hallmark movie!!!”
Another fan gushed, “OMG I was today’s year old whenever I found out you’re in the movie too? I’m even more excited than whenever she announced the movie from the parks! My 90’s childhood heart can’t wait!”
Someone else added, “As a longtime fan of both Disney and Hallmark, seeing you and Lacey in a movie together truly is a dream come true! Holiday Ever After will surely be an instant new favorite that my family and I will rewatch again and again!”
