The official beginning of Hallmark’s “Countdown to Christmas” for 2026 is still months away, but the network just gave fans a sweet tidbit to tide them over for a while. One of the big movies that Hallmark has teased for the upcoming holiday season is a Christmas movie starring Lacey Chabert that is set at Disney World. In a new social media post, Hallmark showed the cast celebrating the end of filming.
Filming of ‘Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True’ Has Officially Wrapped
On February 27, the video was shared on Hallmark’s Instagram page. The caption read, “That’s a wrap! on Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. Ready for some holiday magic?”
The video was filmed at night and had a big crowd in the background. Chabert was front and center, with her co-star, Travis Van Winkle, right next to her. Fellow co-stars Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Taegen Burns, Asher Alexander, Bryce Durfee, and others surrounded them.
A producer was heard saying, “Thank you everybody for a great day, that’s a wrap!”
A clapperboard showing the details for filming “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True” was shown on the bottom half of the screen.
Chabert then said, “We’ll see you for Countdown to Christmas!” Van Winkle added, “Now let’s go on some rides!” The cast as well as the crowd behind them all cheered.
Fans expressed their excitement over the movie update in the caption of the Instagram post.
One fan gushed, “Looks so magical! Can’t wait to see Lacey’s new Christmas movie!”
Another excitedly commented, “YAY!!! Travis is back on Hallmark!!!” A reply from the Hallmark account agreed, noting, “It’s been a long time coming!”
While Chabert consistently works on Hallmark projects throughout the year, every year, Van Winkle hasn’t been as present.
The last Hallmark movie Van Winkle did was in 2021 where he starred with Rachael Leigh Cook in “‘Tis the Season to Be Merry.” He also starred in the 2020 Hallmark movie “Project Christmas Wish” and the 2017 film “Christmas Getaway.”
Hallmark & Disney Have a Long History of Collaborations
While Hallmark just now shared via Instagram that filming had wrapped, there had previously been signs that the project had finished its time at Disney World.
On January 28 and 29, Carlson Romano shared via some Instagram Stories that filming for “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True” had wrapped.
Whether the filming fully wrapped in late January or more recently, the cast seemed to have a blast. This is the first movie collaboration between Disney World and Hallmark, and fans are quite eager to check it out.
Interestingly, while Disney and Hallmark haven’t done a movie collaboration until now, there are ties between the two enties that go back nearly a centure.
Hallmark notes on its corporate website that Walt Disney and J.C. Hall, the founder of Hallmark, were friends who also built a strong business partnership.
The first licensing agreement between the two companies emerged in 1932. In the decades since then, Hallmark has frequently developed merchandise featuring Disney characters. The upcoming Christmas movie will take that decades-long partnership to new levels, and Hallmark fans can’t wait.
