Hallmark has a movie in the works for the 2026 holiday season that fans cannot wait to see. The film, titled “Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” is a collaboration with Walt Disney World. Now, some new updates about the project have just emerged.
Filming for Hallmark’s ‘Holiday Ever After’ Has Finished
According to the website Fantasy Land News on January 28, filming for the Disney and Hallmark collaborative movie has officially wrapped.
The movie stars fan favorite Hallmark star Lacey Chabert as the lead character, and “Project Christmas Wish” star Travis Van Winkle co-stars.
Richard Kind, the voice of Bing Bong in “Inside Out,” “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” star Taegen Burns, and Disney “Kim Possible” alum Christy Carlson Romano also have roles in the movie.
On January 28, Carlson Romano shared an Instagram Story confirming that filming had finished. She shared a photograph showing her with a clapperboard for the film and added a caption that read, “That’s a wrap!”
In addition, on January 29, Chabert shared a sweet message about the wrap-up in her Instagram Stories as well. In one Story, she posted a stunning photo showing fireworks at Disney and tagged the accounts of a handful of others involved in the project.
In a second Story, Chabert reshared a post from Maika Taylor. Chabert wrote, “What a joy to work with you and @mikaela.kester again! Love you!” It appears that Taylor is a hair and makeup artist who worked on the film, and it seems that Kester is as well.
Fantasy Land News shared that filming for the Hallmark film utilized several iconic areas of Walt Disney World. Production was spotted filming near the Cinderella Fountain in Magic Kingdom Park, as well as at the Polynesian Village Resort and Hollywood Studios.
Disney Magic Sparks Romance for the Characters Played by Lacey Chabert & Travis Van Winkle
Chabert’s character, Lindsay, travels to Walt Disney World with her family.
Van Winkle plays Philip in the Hallmark-Disney movie. As luck would have it, Philip and Lindsay end up with hotel rooms right next to each other. Both Lindsay and Philip are vacationing at Disney World with their extended families for the holiday.
The hotel won’t be the setting for the pair’s first meeting, however. Unfortunately, Hallmark teases that Lindsay and Philip recently went out on a first date together. Apparently, the date did not go well.
That bad first date will surely make for an awkward situation for the pair. Luckily, Disney’s magic will kick in and spark romance for Lindsay and Philip after all.
On January 12, Blog Mickey shared some additional snapshots captured while the cast and crew filmed at Disney World. The photos showed Chabert filming at Cinderella’s wishing well, wearing a blue and white princess-inspired dress.
Other pictures caught Kind, Carlson Romano, Van Winkle, and Burns there, as well.
Just before filming on the Hallmark-Disney movie wrapped, Carlson Romano teased fans with a fun Instagram post. It featured her with Chabert and Burns, and all three wore Mickey ears. In the caption, Carlson Romano quipped, “Mickey ears are so FETCH,” a nod to Chabert’s iconic line from “Mean Girls.”
A couple of fans noted they had been at the park hoping to cross paths with the stars. They weren’t successful, and they admitted that they were disappointed. Others noted their excitement to see the finished movie.
One fan wrote, “This absolutely made my day better…I can’t say enough how excited I am for your movie soon!”
Another fan, who seemingly wasn’t aware of the movie, commented, “Please let this be the cast of a Disney Hallmark movie!!!!”
