‘The Voice’ Announces HUGE News Regarding Adam Levine’s Future with the Show

It is good news for fans of “The Voice” because beloved coach Adam Levine is returning for Season 30! The announcement that Levine would be a coach on the new season, scheduled to air in fall 2026, was made after the Season 29 finale on Tuesday, April 14.

Adam Levine Will Return to ‘The Voice’ Season 30

Levine is one of the original coaches, having coached on Season 1 to Season 16. He left the show after 16 consecutive seasons to focus on his family, but returned in Season 27.

Season 29 was a big deal for Levine and his competitors, and he won alongside Alexia Jayy. “I’d say I can’t believe it, but I can. There’s no one more deserving of this honor,” he said on the night, NBC News reports

Levine’s return was announced on the official “The Voice” Instagram page, which posted a photo of him with the text “The Champion returns this fall.” The caption read, “The champion returns. Adam Levine will be returning to The Voice Season 30 as a Coach!”

Fans have already expressed their excitement, flooding the comment section with their thoughts. “Yay! Cheers to Adam! Can’t wait to see him again next season,” a fan shared. “Love Adam and glad he won tonight and will be returning for Season 30,” another fan wrote.

Other reactions include, “I’m so excited for Adam Levine to come back as a coach on Season 30,” and “YAAS. I was just wondering who would be the coaches for the next season. This season was fantastic, loved it so much.”

The other coaches who will join Levine for Season 30 have not yet been announced.

Adam Levine Reveals How ‘The Voice’ Has Changed

Season 29 was coached by three champions. Fans loved the dynamics and can’t wait to see who else will sign on for Season 30. For Levine, working on the show has been an evolution; he noted that the first seasons were intense, but things have gotten calmer now. “It used to just be kind of crazy,” Levine told NBC Insider in January 2025. “We were like the [Rolling] Stones or something. It was like chaos. [Coach] CeeLo [Green] had a bird. We were like a punk rock band. It was wild thinking back on it; it was so out of control.” At the time, he had been a coach on “The Voice” alongside Green, Blake Shelton, and Christina Aguilera.

Now that he has gotten back into coaching, Levine revealed that some things have changed. “The general tone and the efficiency of the show, I know that sounds really weird, has gotten so pleasant,” Levine said. “It’s just gotten so different, in a good way, and efficient, and kind of mellow. As boring as that may sound, it’s actually really wonderful. And I’m so proud.”
