Did Alexia Jayy win? The answer is…YES!!! After the votes were counted, Alexia Jayy was named the winner of “The Voice” season 29, and rightfully so!
Semi-Finals Performance on ‘The Voice’
Alexia said she didn’t have any expectations coming into the show. For this performance, Alexia is singing “I Never Loved a Man (the Way I Love You)” by Aretha Franklin. Adam said she’s sang Whitney and now Aretha, so she needs to challenge herself more. He said it’s like an experience listening to her sing. Adam said Alexia Jayy should be a household name.
Ugh, that’s all I have to say. Her voice is something special. She hit some huge notes, but she just makes you feel every word she is singing. She took us to church with this performance. It’s big and exactly what I want to see on a show like this.
For the coaches, Kelly said she has been looking forward to this moment. She loves her so much. John said she is so wonderful, and she exudes so much creative and positive energy. Adam said she is the best singer ever, and he just loves her.
Alexia’s Blind Audition on ‘The Voice’
Alexia got emotional during the pre-video, saying this is for her son. He has seen her start and stop, but she has never given up. Now she is here on “The Voice,” singing “A Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin. Yes, she sings this one, and you can see how proud her son is backstage. She has such a strong, powerful, and soulful voice. She got all three chairs to turn, as we had our first Triple Turn on “The Voice” season 29!
For the coaches, John said she has it all. She not only has the raw ability, but she also knows how to deploy it. Adam said on paper, those two coaches make sense. Adam said maybe the way to go here is to go with someone people would least expect. Kelly said to come out on the stage and sing Aretha is such a big, bold statement. She said she could hear her belting out country. Her son comes out and says he listens to Maroon 5, which gets Adam pumped. The first Triple Turn went to Team Adam, so maybe her son played a big part!
