Tonight was all about the rock, as more aspiring singers took their spot in front of the judges on “American Idol” 2026. For some, that spot in front of the judges was outside the studio! In the end, they all just wanted a ticket to Hollywood Week.

Week 3 Begins
A look back at Jamal Roberts and his journey, from his audition to a Grammy nomination now. We will provide updates as tonight’s episode airs!
8:16 p.m. – We started the night with a lot of auditions in that first segment. Lots of rock and roll auditions, which Carrie loved. In the end, we saw Jordan McCullough, Noah Orion, Zayuh Moro, Brett Carlisle, and Madison Moon all get a ticket to Hollywood.
8:28 p.m. – Philmon Lee comes in so calm, but then blows the judges away to earn a ticket to Hollywood!
8:37 p.m. – I may have just fallen in love, but Livy auditioned and made it through.
8:50 p.m. – A couple of auditions made it through (Miyoko and Vincent Fondale), as we also saw a montage of Luke and Carrie disagreeing on contestants.
Second Hour Begins
9:03 p.m. – We are now into the second hour of the night. Lanii starts things off and leaves everyone in tears on her way to Hollywood Week.
9:16 p.m. – 17 years old and a very powerful voice, as Nyla Martin is moving on.
9:25 p.m. – Marty Brown is a country music singer, but comes out with his Christian Brown, who makes it to Hollywood Week.
9:39 p.m. – We have Julianne Post and Trew the Star moving on to Hollywood Week!
9:48 p.m. – Alabama was represented, as we saw Kutter Bradley, Kayla Finch, and Kiera Howell all make it through to Hollywood Week.
10:00 p.m. – The last audition of the night is Roelle, who makes it to Hollywood Week.
