Some Fans Had Hoped This Season Would Be Longer
Fans really had hoped this season would be longer. But the 10-episode season was confirmed tow months ago by a Blu-ray announcement, according to this Reddit thread.
But given how popular this anime is, there’s no reason to believe it won’t be back.
In a different Reddit thread about the short season, one fan wrote: “More than likely, due to the break on the manga due to the author’s health, they probably didn’t want to rush what we have right now. Not to mention, having season 3 start on the next arc sounds more exciting than it being in the middle or end of the season. That arc has a lot of lore and some bad ass moments to it, so ending this season before that might work out in their favour.”
Note that the anime’s official Japanese X account has confirmed that this is indeed the finale for season 2.
You can watch “Frieren” on Crunchyroll at this link. It airs on Crunchyroll in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.
